Nitin,Congratulations ..Thanks for kind words all the best .
Hi Sakshi....hows Shriram Millenium school noida.....would it be better than Apeejay

Gaurav,

In case you are looking for Holistic Dev then yes.

Any body has any update about result of Amity, Vasundhara Sector 1?  Is it declared or yet to be declared?

Hi All,

My son got through DPSGV.Now I don't have to look any further..my elder son is studying there and I am happy with the school.

Shashank,just for some clarification,

I think I got through amity sec6 instead of going alone and elder one in different school because I handled it well.i am an engineering graduate working with a govt organisation. I never tried to hide the truth and also gave only positive feedback about the other school(many parents do the opposite).Plus I believe my son contributed too. He did his part smartly.

Archana,i think I have seen you during interaction in dpsgv.was it with your daughter that the principal asked to see her smile? Also she continuously told her name in mike right?

Hi All,

Has the result for Amity Noida out ? Did any parent got any update ?

Thanks for this info.

BR

Amit

Congratulation Krishna!!

I really apprecaite your alone efforts with emotional support from family!!!

Best of luck!!!

Hi Krishna... She was hurt and the principal asked her to smile.. Yup she continuously told her name in mike.. Now i can recall... You were there sitting in the front row and you mentioned about your elder son and husband...

Hello Krishna,

First of all heartiest congratulations for your son's selection at DPSGV.  Nothing beats getting what you wanted and as you said earlier this was your first choice (as you already have your other son going at DPSGV) even though you had already cleared amity as well.

Coming to the points you mentioned I think there is some disconnect here. In fact it took me a while to figure out why you were addressing me but I got the point :) I think your reference is to one of my posts where we (myself with some other concerned parents) were deliberating/brainstorming about the selection vs rejection critereas at Amity. I did quote a few cases including yours and some othes (both from the forum and some others I know personally) but just because I needed to quote a few cases to emphasize the critereas aren't clear from them and were trying to thrash out ideas to understand where we might have went wrong (if at all that is). My interaction (and a few others here like Brijesh and Archana and many others) actually went quite good  for both the parents and the kid and in fact the interaction was so short that I am sure most of the parents/children must have been good there since the questions/interactions was quite generic so it was somewhere else that the school looked at to select/reject which is what we were digging into. Not just for us (since we are not there) but more for the other parents so that it can help them in future.

Anyway if in that reference as stated above you felt offended in anyway then please accept my sincere apologies for the same. There was no way I could be even intending to belittle your efforts/ achievments on your wards selection there. On the contrary on a personal level I salute the amount of efforts and hardwork you might have put in to take all this on your own (with of course support from your family). It is no mean achievment and you deserve all the credit for it. So no hard feelings really. As I said just a disconnect !!

I was actually thinking of taking your feedback on DPSGV since you already have your child there so that I can decide on taking admission there. I've heard it is good but nothing better than a first hand experience and you are the best person to give a review. Can you provide some inputs around it?

Once again all the best for you and your family and good bless. I saw your email and was quite upset to see that my comments somehow hurt (even if it was unintentional) a fellow parent. All us parents are doing our bit to give our kids a good future so all of us deserve a pat on the back :)

Thanks,
Shashank Arora

No no..iam not hurt at all...even I had doubts on my son clearing amity because of those reasons. ..I had applied there just to have an option or as an experience for my son.i just thought I should give you a complete picture about me as I thought some parents might benefit from it if I say my positives as well. ...I would just say don't analyse too much. ..schools look for best among the lots because they have that option. .we parents make it all look so tough...I had best hopes for dpsgv but still applied dpsi because I thought I am putting my son at risk. .I had decided on letting go of amity and was scared of what happens if he doesn't get through dpsgv...so its this fear of parents that's making them run behind every school!
I would say go for dpsgv if it's nearby. .in my opinion putting your son in a good nearby school is the most important thing. ..no need to compare that school with any other if you are satisfied. ..

Yes I can't agree more Krishna. I feel it is sometimes worthless to ponder the reasons for selection/rejection critereas in schools. The fact that they are not transparent means they are intending to hide all of it and we would never know.

Anyway thanks for your feedback on DPSGV. Much Appreciated. I stay in Indrapuram so both Amity/DPSGV are kind of similarly far/near. My only concern with DPSGV was what I saw when I was there (their facility lacks a bit of finish that is there with most big schools, the playground was small and not very well maintained and the location itself was not very condusive for schools I thought (my personal opinion and may be wrong). On hindsight I though that might have to do with that they do not have a full time principal as of now (have acting one though from DPSG itself which is great) so may be the focus has slightly divulged also because of admission process.

Was it better earlier? I've seen some pics on google and they seem to suggest it was quite good (Also I read on HT today that even though it is still in top 10 of gzb schools but it has fallen a few places although I don't give too much weightage to these so called surveys).

As I said overall I feel like going for it but there are some minor things which are still bothering me. So may be you can throw some light since you might have seen the school for a while now !

Thanks again,
Shashank Arora

infrastructure was never great in dpsgv.i admitted my child because of the good name the school has and the results..its better than dpsi as per many parents...and I was never interested in sending my kids to Noida as we live in indirapuram.so for me dpsgv is the best option.
