3.5 years old kids are attending school with good % of attendance since 2007. I don't see any problem for commuting 10 kms. If there is no school within 10 kms range in any particular area, will that mean children will sit at home or continuing attending play schools.
Some people are under the impression that neighbourhood points according to slab system followed last year would have helped them or sibling, alumni points would have helped to get admission for their child, then they are into big trouble. My daughter is in DPS and we tried for our second boy child in every school including DPS. Despite being many schools in our neighbourhood i.e. 0-3 kms range like Bal Bharati Public school, Salwan Public School, Springdales, St.Michael etc., we could not get admission in not even a single school. We had lots of hope for Bal Bharati Public School as Alumni points were there, but we were not called at all. Despite having good number of points in Bal Bharati, they did not give us a call at the time of a draw. This is how they maintain transparency. They fill up seats through management quota and take good amount of money for that. In DPS also, we did not get enough points for neighbourhood as well as for sibling. Different points system in different branches of DPS was a bit scary experience. DPS Dwarka gave admission on the basis of sibling and alumni as they had high points for that whereas DPS Mathura Road had few points for siblings. Will try again this year for my child. Raising points to 70 for 6 Kms range or 10 Kms range will increase the chance of every child of being selected through draw. I hope my child will get through at least one school this time. Admissions are no child play..... its a tough nut to crack.......... BEST OF LUCK to all parents who r seeking admissions for their child......
Yes u r absolutely right. I agree
Agreed with Mr. Maharam Tanwar, Its better to travel 10 K.M. than sitting at hom or going to play schools.
