What Happend ? If Schools exist beyond 8 to 10 KM

I have calculated and observed there are number of schools exist in between 8 - 10 KM from our residence address.
How L.G. or Schools will follow the criteria for admission process.

Will school reject student candidature forms, if distance is in between 8-10 KM.
Or will Schools will consider with lesser point system other than 70.

I would like to know views from Sumit Vohra, if he could through his views on this ambiguity.

How did you check the distance?  Did you measure the road wise distance or radius wise?
