Hi Sakshi - what will the uniform method of measuring of distance criteria be followed by the schools ? is it Arial or actual road distance ?

will the schools be issuing a list of areas coming under 8 km range from the schools since I havent seen any such issued by any of the schools so far ...

Imran Ali,

Every school is asked to upload distance measuring method. So the concerned school will measure distance as per their display on the dte of edn site or their school site.

but this is not done by any of the schools as yet and the admission process start is approaching just a day after.

Imran, mention of distance measuring method will be made on the day of online registration in the instruction/guidelines of that particular schoool.

Hi Sakshi - I want to know how a school will implement the 5 % quota for girls admission. If a registered girl applicant residing within 8 km radium fails to make through in the 5% girl's quota by draw of lots then whether that girl applicant will compete with the other applicants (boy) as per the the paramters/criteria and points for the open seats or not.

You need to obtain a medical certificate, but it should be of a permanent nature disease.

Meenakshi, it is okay, apply under Disadvantaged group category.

Last year DPS had this rule that a child can apply in only one of the DPS schools, even if there are 2 or more DPS schools in the vicinity, eg: DPS EOK & DPS Mathura Road lies within same range from Lajpat Nagar, Jangpura etc.

Is'nt it unfair ?

Will it happen this year also ?

Dear Sansan, you are wrong, One can apply in all DPS schools individually. No where it was written that you can apply only in one DPS or only once. Let it be as may schools in the vicinity, doesn't matter. Any person can apply. Only thing, one can apply only once in one particular DPS.
