Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2026-27

Distance Criteria

The DOE, Delhi states that the distance criteria for admission to pre-school/nursery level is "The neighborhood is limited to 08km aerially or distance by road." Then why are some schools only awarding neighborhood points to those localities within the 8km by road only? This leaves behind many localities that lie within the 8km radius aerially. One such school is DPS Vasant Kunj. If anyone reading this also has the same issue we can ask the school authorities to look into the matter and make suitable changes.

Even i m also facin d same prob with DPS VASANT KUNJ as DOE website shows my area under 8km but dps vk showin 8.7km...The school authorities should look into ths matter seriously..

I too fall into the same trap! Ideally we shud go n speak to th principal there.. My elder daughter is studying in th same school..n want my younger one to b admitted there too..can't understand as to why r they considering road distance n why not radius..even Dps vasant vihar,modern sch vv almost all other schools r considering radius wise distance..

True. I've shot a mail to the principal ,seeking her to look into the matter. I'm waiting for a reply from her side. I'd request you all to inbox the principal similar emails and request her to kindly amend the present criteria. Also, if possible meeting the school authorities in person sounds like a very good idea. And please share with us on this thread in case you find something useful.
