Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
Hello Experts
As per govt prevailing norms in Delhi my kid is not eligible for 2014-15 Nursery admission in any of the schools available in Dwarka. For your information eligibility condition is not met due to 19 days of gap for 3 yrs completion as on 31 March 2014.
I have been offered by few of playschools/primary school (running upto 5th standard ) here in Dwarka to provide admission of my kid for Nursery Admission 2014-15 session .
Based on above details i would need your suggestion for my further move.
1. Shall i fill the admission forms for 2014-15 nursery admission for schools and wait for my kid luck then ?
2. Is it ok to send my kid to playschool/primary school for at least nursery class and then should try for him on Prep session in big/main school.
3. What is the probability if i try for admission in Nursery class during mid of 2014. And at what probability school will accept it ?
4. Do you know any school who are not so strict for this age eligibility at least for few days and there i should try ?
Thanks
Deepak

DOE guidelines are very strict w.r.t. minimum age eligibility. You can try for your child next session and put in her any play school (optional). You can approach OPG which is not recognized by DOE for nursery and MBS (recognized by DOE from class I)
Many thanks for the reply and now having below more queries
1. do we have more options other than these 2 schools in dwarka locality ?
2. out of these two or more similar kind of schools what would be the school rating..i meant on what basis (feedback)should i select the schools for admission?
3. Probably the fee (admission & per month) for these schools is on higher side ?
4. I am sure this 19 days of gap should not be a problem during the time of class 1 admission.
Thanks to suggest on these points as this will give me direction for next move.
I suggest you should go to Presidium Dwarka Sector 22 and check with them. They should be flexible to accommodate.
Other thought might be, let the child be 4 years next year and then put him to Nursery. Till then let him not get into this pressure world and enjoy his time as a toddler in some good playschool. You can check with schools like rising star, just kids, mother's pride for nursery enrollment.
thats really good
I will advise you to wait for another year. Trust me he/she will not lose on anything. If he/she goes to school now, he/she will be the youngest kid in the class who will have to bear all the pressure the present education system puts on a child.
i think u should wait for another year for ur little one don't put unnecessary pressure on her the guideline says that ur child can be between 3 till 4 and half so u have enough time relax put her next year don't apply this year to any schools let her grow up with flying colors and work with her on pre- writing and pre reading skills.
Deepak, I dont know if you filled in any forms this year...but dont wait for 4yr age...as schools dont follow strict restriction imposed by DOE for upper age limit...my daughter is 4.5 and most of the schools are telling me that she is over age for nursery.....some of them are even not accpeting forms.....i complained it with the DOE but no action yet....
