Birth Certificate - Name of the Child - Mandatory?

Hi, Can someone please confirm if the Birth Certificate copy required to be submitted at the time of submitting the form MUST have Name of the Child? Or Birth Certificate without Child Name is also accepted?

Even though it is not mandatory check out very few schools ask for child's name printed in BC.

I applied for addition of Name just 10 days back at MCD (South) - Today they told me it'll take 10 more days :(

You can go and request them as in normal case it takes only 15 days time.

i gave them application last wednesday and asked them to hasten the process as i need it for school admission, today (monday) i went to the office just to check and it was already done so i got the printout.

called up the helpline, They confirmed that name is not mandatory. Also called a few schools in Dwarka, and they confirmed the same - not mandatory

cannot say exactly but many school after admission ask parent to get name on birth certificate. It varies from school to school

good, btw, after some more consistent efforts (and thanks to Arvind Kejriwal's wave in Delhi), I got mine also done today!
