Likewise everyone on this forum, I am filling forms for many schools with varying formats, information of parents, family, child.

My query & feel:

1. Should there be a centralized mechanism where we can select the choice of school (one or many) and a single form is filled up. The cloud and internet services have evolved so much to give a quick reliable access to all applying.

2. As everyone has right of Education, then should the Govt. pay a part (%) of the school fees/charges for all admitted  under EWS category? In one way or other the schools pass on this burden to general category by increasing the fee/charges to meet up their own part.

Regards,

nice point no. 1. question is whose pocket one reaches out to.  secondly - very true... most of christian schools force parents to adopt 4-5 students of minority for securing admissions. and one of the christians told me that st francis gave them admission in rs 100 !!

Dears'

Can you please get me to the link to go through the Discussion held with Mr. Sisodia. I couldnt watch it live and also didnt find such a offline link (URL)

Thanks

Agreed with Jatinder Pal Gupta, both the points are very genuine and Govt. should consider that.

Govt. should contribute towards school fees/ other charges of EWS category.

Due to lottery and point system we have, there are bound to be cases where some children get calls from more than 1 school while others might not even get a single call. In event of cancellation of seats what can government & schools do to make the process of cancelled seats available for admissions transparent and fair?

very valid point, this is one such loophole that has some gap and minimal clarity.

What if the child doesnt get through any school
What next then

nayha bhola, in that case, file another PIL and force the govt. to step forward.

bcoz of lottery system I case a child dont got admission in any of the school and if we think of trying next year the child will be 4+ and all school doesnot give admission to 4+in nursery and if we try for kg all school doesnot hav seats ....how can we overcome this problem???

I am facing same problem this year... trying for nursery as well as KG

The following are my questions -

a) What is the govt going to do to ensure that the draw of lots is actually fair i.e. there could be many a slip b/w the cup and the lip meaning that the no of entries shortlisted for the draw of lots could be doctored /further shortlisted and filtered version of the overall shortlisted entries (which the school could do post basic interactions with parents)

b) If one child gets selected in more than one school, how would the govt check that the seat not selected by the student is transparently offered to the public and not suspiciously shelved off as a seat in to the management quota which supposedly doesnt exist any more

c) Barring removal of the mgmt quota, what additional steps would the govt ensure to check that no schools ask for donations

d) with 90% people ties for 70 pts and precious few seats left , where do you think is the current admission process headed to

Government has to take strict action against EWS fraud's. I have personally seen parents coming in big cars / high living in big societies and having EWS Certificate ?? how it is possible when a person annual income is just 1 Lac a year means 8333 per month.

Also this certificate can be taken after bribe from anywhere. There has to be a proper and complete check-up of all EWS certificate and background check.  I am not against anyone but this should not happen only actual needy will get the benefit.
