Hindustan Times~30 Jan~Nursery rules: Parents can now self attest documents
NEW DELHI: There’s some relief for people finding it difficult to get photocopies of certificates attested for the nursery admissions. The Delhi government’s education department has clarified that parents require to only self-attest the copies of certificates and present the original documents for verification when the child has secured admission.“It was a real headache as some schools required the caste certificate to be attested by a gazetted officer, while some asked us to get it notarised,” said Mridul Kumar, a parent.Various documents ranging from caste certificates to birth certificates are required for admission. “Schools cannot compel for submission of attested copies of any document at the time of submission of application. Parents need to submit only self-attested copies of certificates/documents. Schools can ask for production of original documents for verification at the final stage of admission. If documents were found to be fake, the school may cancel the candidature,” the notification stated.
“This will provide relief to parents as they were earlier confused where to get the documents attested from. Some parents did not have access to gazetted officers either,” said Sumit Vohra of admissionsnursery.com

Schools are not following the same.Schools are rejecting form for the same reason. In one school Principal Clearly Said we follow only our rules which are written on our website.

Yes, at Manav Bharti my wife was asked to go back as I had placed my visiting card as proof of office address. The real agony is she did ask the lady at desk if visiting card is acceptable so that she can avid 30 minute long queue . She was asked to wait till her turn comes and when it came some 40 minutes after, she was told visiting card was NOt acceptable !! To add to the agony, when she went next day with real certificate, she found school accepting visiting cards .. Wow.. what a pain !!

Pankaj, though it is true we are becoming victims in their hands, but this forum is taking alll such issues to help parent community. Someone like Mr. Vohra will soon be a messenger for these culprit schools to punish them. The lady will have to pay for her attitude towards parents for making them wait. But we will have to bear with the current situation till then.

Inderprastha intl school dwarka is not accepting forms without gazetted officers signature. They are not entertaining even the notry registered documents. The school staff is rude and not helpful at all.

The principal of the school deny and said we dont follow DOE,we follow our rule.Because parents were saying her that its against DOE. I left that school.I will not fill the form in that school.
