In case of twins if draw of lot takes place than both the names will be written in the same paper so that both will be selected...thats what i read somewhere..maybe it differs from school to school...and if a girl is selected than the other twin(boy ) will get sibling points and vice-versa..

I think it is unfair to write both the names on the same slip, because we are filling up two separate forms, paying the registration money for both the forms then why should the names be written on one slip... Just a thought...Because now anything that matters is LUCK...

I also agree with Shelka...initially whn the guidelines was announced I was also worried for my first boy child...as no points for them. But than i realized that siblings 20 points are justified as it saves parents from the pain of sending their child to two different schools. And that applicant will get 20 points more only in that particular school where the elder one goes...not in each and every school. In other schoolthat applicant will be at par with those who have applied for their first,second,third...child.So no issue all are in the same bout of 70 points.

But the EWS system is not fair..1km radius should be considered and It should be further divided into categories like..

15% for Economically weak whose income is less than 1 lac per annum

5%  for caste..SC/ST/OBC..others

5%  For DG,single parents etc...

I hope this is a better than considering all from rich to rags in same category...Govt should work on this.

Stop cribbing and doing complaints..about everything be happy as all depends on the luck of the child...It seems this forum has turned to a battleground..instead of helping others...wish good luck to all.

St Anthony and Frank Anthony schools are not following the new point system.

ITL Dwarka devised their own method for draw of lots check out on their website http://www.itlpublicschool.net/pre-school.php

They distributed draw of lots as per KM like

category A - 0-1 KM

category B - 1-3 KM

category C - 3-6 KM

category D - beyond 6 KM

and daw of lots happen first for category A then B and then so on which is against DOE guidelines.

Mr Vohra pleas  make a note of this

It's for EWS category.
