Mahesh Jain, Oh dear, I hearted your sentiments. Sorry dear! could you please compare your result in terms of %age and IITians/PMTs etc with private schools? Or I should provide the data? U mean govt. teachers do not impart tuition. I may agree with you for the sake of brand name of a school behind a student, but at the same time why parents hesitate to stand up with private school student's parents? Does low salary enables a person not to provide quality education or poor result?

If salary matters, then u also get 25-45 thousand Rs. What is your result then, ask yourself are you satisfied with your result? Are your children studying in govt. schools or would be going to soon? Can you tell this forum how many teachers of your school send their children to govt. schools?

Anyway, this is not the right platform to say all these things. Have a formal meeting in your school with me if you can do so. I will fee honoured.

Don't u think if govt schools show improvements in all round development of a child, private schooling will be diminishing and the current problem will be minimising.

I my self studied in pvt school and have very low experience of govt schools so far. And very few teachers admit there children to govt schools.with all facilities given to us ..i can proudly say that i give good result every year.... yes few few of my students are doing CA..... my commerce student batch is always good.

More over i want to tell u one thing we at govt schools cant compare with pvt schools. do pvt school staff go to election duty, national population register duty, aadhar registeration duty, polio drop duty and recently economic survey...।.. you csnt imagine the problems my dear

Mahesh, you are talking about yourself and ask me imagine the problems govt. teachers face. I would also like to tell you, these duties are city specific. Don't imagine so high! Someone else might have done more than that which you even can't imagine. If you are asked to render volunteer services at high altitude or during disaster management at distant and adverse climatic conditions for months together, will u do so, you will submit many docs to avoid going. The one u are doing now, I have done it 20 years back.

Maharam Sir, I would not like to offend you anyways.. But again I will say that we cannot send our children to the govt schools.. N govt school teachers no doubt are qualified... D problem is at the grass root level.. First of all most of parents of the children coming to these schools are illiterate.. I know several teachers at govt school who themselves commit that they have huge pressures.. Its not easy to alleviate levels of IQ and teach govt school's children these days specially.. Earlier our parents had studied in govt schools only but that time every one was at par..Also with the recent govt mandate that no child can fail till class 10th.. This has instilled over confidence in the children of govt school and they don't have fears of boards... That mars the competition spirit amongst them.. Then d cycle tends to continue; since they complain that they didn't get enough facilities in a govt school, they could not excel...Then most of them either land up in getting into EWS(Privileged) cadre or if they belong to SC/ST/OBC category(Highly Privileged) then it is icing on cake.. First they get reservation in education institutions, then jobs and then reservation for their children in private schools...This is a vicious circle.. Since our current govt only focuses on developing education for just getting a huge vote bank... We need to realize that a school can develop a child's personality but a brain is God gifted.. A child may be good in studies while the other one can be good in anything else too.. Why should not govt focus on development of other skills of children which can eventually make them employable and self dependent... We as parents need to understand the motive of education rather than running into the rat race...

Thanx ashu ji....... you are 100%right

Ashu, That is true. but this is not the solution. Govt. schools are not providing quality education due to which we do not want to send our children to these schools. On the other hand private schools are lacking demand and supply. Then what should be done. Dear if we fight for private schools only, govt. schools will keep on enjoying on the cost of parents like us. Their teachers will keep on stitching sweaters/chatting during school hours. They will be deployed for census/election duties because govt. is also aware about their ignorance towards duty. That may the reason behind detailing for such extra duties.

Several other points are also there. The govt. has to improve and bring these schools at par with private schools. One fellow parents is a teacher on this forum and he blamed me for favoring pvt schools lamenting low paid teachers and their quality of education besides tuitions also. I want to ask everyone inspite of all these shortcomings in pvt schools, still govt. teachers do not send their children to their schools. It shows the teacher himself is not discharging his duties honestly.

It seems to me that u r quite ignorant about the reality and there is no benefit to agrue with you sir if you have such prejudice about govt schools and teachers. All are not equal and if you label all as equal then i am sorry. I love teaching and you can come to my school and see how students adore me. But its all in vain to say such things to you because you have a negative mind set about goVt school teachers.

you got the idea, improvise

thinking aloud,

govt hospital doctors family to be treated at govt hospitals only, condition of govt hospitals will improve greatly,

all ministers to travel by public transport, etc etc ...

Even I agree with you mahesh. My mom is also a govt school teacher and I know nowadays there is so much pressure on teachers. The daily work they have to do etc etc. There are so many factors which contributes to the overall quality and condition of the education which includes the children their background and so on.
I wonder in which world you are to say teachers make sweaters, this is really not appropriate to generalize things specially any negative things.
And regarding putting govt school teachers on special duties, they are put because of them being govt employees. The census, election is an imp work for which they want only responsible people and not any tom harry. So think before you spread such things.

Shivani, it means employees other than teachers are not responsible and cannot be detailed for such duties. Pvt sch trs may be more pressurized than yours and still they bring better result. KV and Navodaya are also  govt schools and hardly any complaint for them. When I was student, I saw teachers doing sweatering and it is still in practice. I need to do a sting to prove them.

What a pitty mindset...sorry bro

Thanx shivani ji....
