THE RESULTS  OF TODAY'S LOTTERY WOULD BE POSTED TOMORROW-8 FEB  (MORNING) ON SCHOOLS WEBSITE.

Dear Parents

As  we are getting many queries on different thread about

"WHAT HAPPENED TODAY IN LOTTERY  at DPS R K Puram ??

 WHAT ABOUT PARENTS WHO WERE NOT PRESENT ??

 WAS IT FAIR,HOW IT WAS CONDUCTED ??

Please find the pointers

1 School made printed chits of all girls candidates (70 and above points)

2 There were approx 600 plus  parents present block wise( as described on school website)

3 One parent was asked to come and pick 100 chits from each block

(Videography done for each chit) to put chits in transparent empty glass container which was empty in Number of each chit was announced and displayed

4 Mr Sumit Vohra checked at random~He was satisfied ( But he insisted on Doc verification to be very strict before posting final list on 28 Feb)

5 After all 1316 chit were put.. Parents were called after shaking the Jar every time a chit was drawn ..11 chits of selected candidates and 44 chits for waiting list were taken out . The jar was sealed in case ,any draw for Girls has to be done again .

All the Parents were totally satisfied with the transparency

MR Vohra will go to school which are willing to be transparent and not dictate terms, moreover he has personal work .so i don't think he wud go every where.

Yes Sakshi, But i wish he could attend all the school.:)

Most of the school are doing draw on 28th Feb. How can we parents be omnipresent? I seriously do not understand these law, i think education was far better 20 years back.

My personal feeling is if u have determination, schooling doesn't matter. Lots of small town kids are cracking IIT and see an example of Microsoft' new CEO.

In eok draw, they hv taken 1757 slips for draw n cancelled two slips. Y they havnt cancelled all d duplicate names

Why they have not displayed all the selected candidates list and waiting list today itself. How we should trust that there will not be any manipulation....????

I was present today and was quite satisfied with the girl child quota lottery though wasn't lucky enough not even in the wait list. Well, I had filled up forms for unindentical twins(a boy & a girl) of which today's lottery was for a girl child. As per the notification out of a twins if one child gets through the other would also be considered. My question here is if my boy child gets through when the list is out on 28th, what are the chances for my girl child?

I sail in the same boat as u as me too a parent of a non identical twin.How u r so optimistic for ur son as if he is at 70, he wudnt even be undergoing a lottery....

Agree ... If the boy chld gets in girl would automatically get in on sibling points. The question is , if boy scored 70 points then there is no chance of lottery in this school.

Dear Mr. Sumit or sakshi,

Is there any changes in Twin point system...B'coz as per DPS Rohini circular if one of twin child get selected then only other child will get 90 points. Means both the child will not get any preference of sibling points before drawing lottery..... i am very worried..please clear my doubts....also is bal bharti following the same process.?

This was always the case. Twins do not automatically get 90 points before lottery, else they would get into every school even before lottery.

Both twins names would be in the bucket. If one of them gets selected (by lucky draw) , other would automatically be given 20 points (for sibling) and both would get selected.
