draw of lots

Some well known school have not declared dates for draw in south delhi like bhatnaget international instead they told to see the first final list on 28th feb. is it fare after a clear guideline from DOE

Without conducting 5% draw of girl child and for EWs category they can't come out with first final list.

Latha ji, is it true that schools can include even those girls in the draw of girl child who have 0 points (I mean they are not staying in neighbourhood)? This is what was done in Lancer's convent...

No as per the guidelines the seats for 5% girl's quota shall be filled through draw of lots out of all the registered girl applicants residing within 8 k.m. radius. The remaining applicants shall be considered for admission as per the parameters/criteria and points for open seats.

Thanks for clarifying that Lathaa ji. Then I want to seriously take it up against Lancer's Convent.. How should I go about doing this? It is ridiculous what they did. Already 70 pointers do not have any chance and if we add 0 pointers to it, then no options left for us at all!

Lathaa- as per u Without conducting 5% draw of girl child and for EWs category they can't come out with first final list. It means schools can come out with list without conducting draw for 70 points, if yes then what are the chances of admission this year for 70 points means zero points to us while we have schools in 1 km as well.

If applications are excess in number, draw of lots will be made for tie points and if less in number, the rest of the seats will be decided through draw of lots from applicants residing beyond 08 kms.
