UNFAIR - No chance for kids with 70 points
No matter how much we praise the new point system but it is becoming nightmare for the parents of kids who scored just the distance points.
Now, I think, the previous point system was ok.
I have all top schools within 3 km of my home (South Delhi) but since the criteria is 8 km and number of applications has increased manifolds (AS STATED BY MR VOHRA IN OTHER POST) in all schools just due to this, I have no chance.
Almost all top 15 schools are saying they have more application > 75 points for total number of seats. That means my kids doesn't even get a opportunity to be included in a lucky Draw. THE END OF THE ROAD FOR PARENTS WITH 70 POINTS.
Mr VOHRA Can we still think something about this??
People are getting nervous and hopeless due to this.
Find some GOVERNMENT CRAPPY SCHOOL GUYS OR GO TO SOME OTHER CITY...
I AM FRUSTRATED TO MY CORE!!!!

Again i request Mr. Vohra to take up the matter with the authorities/DOE/Education Minister at the earliest and come up with a solution over the weekend as schools are on fast track mode and nothing can be done later except if the authorities decide the scrap the admissions which would be nothing short of a nightmare.
Fellow parents and members - please help to ensure that we create enough visibility over this issue / flaw in the points system so that the authorities are forced to act swifty.

Very true by all the parents with 70 points, as I am also sailing in the same boat. By increasing the Distance have increased the no. of schools to be applied but on the same ground by giving interstate points and girl child point (rather than first born child be it girl or boy) have left us with a thought that atleast this year it is not possible. Because we, with 70 points are not even eligible for Darw. Summit Sir, can you do something for this, else we have have no other hope.

It's very unfair on the part of 70 points child, as they are left nowhere. Whom to question this. They are not getting admission in any of the favourite/desired schools because of this lottery system. Girls draw leads to no further draw n what about the boy child, not satisfied. Please take up this point.

After getting neighborhood points of 70 points of 8 km and every reputed school is not considering your child name for draws lots untill a unless u have sibblings / alumni /transfer cases ( fake or valid )
When neighborhood is zero points why DOE counting the 70 points application this into the system .

because we could not studied in reputed school now our kids will not be able to study because Alumni point gone
because we are living in delhi since birth our kids will not get adimission in delhi because transfer case will get additional points
what a good system, bad luck to all of you who took birth in delhi and resident of delhi and studied in Govt schools

@ Pallavi Sharma- I totally agree. Sailing in same boat. Have some of the most wonderful schools of north delhi within 2 kms of residence but have not been successful in getting my daughter admitted to any of them. Thanks to sibling and interstate transfer points.
Hopes have drastically reduced. Feeling the trauma for being a Delhite for the first time.

Was surprised by DPS Rohini and heritage rohini list....majorily transfer cases..this is totally unfair to those who have lived in delhi.. I firmly believe schools have circumvented transfer points to their own advantage...most of people will be aware that lot many schools had already confirmed admissions and taken payment even before the proces begin...

I applied for nursery admission they said they not accept bcoz DOB is 29 jan 2010. when i mention about DOE circulars then they accept form but not give receipts. now i check their website my son name not mention in their eligible candidate list and they openly mention about upper age

In 2014-15 How DOE and Office of the LG (Delhi) Jeopardized the Future of lakhs of Preschool Children.
There should be no points at all Just Plain Simple Lottery for all Kids.
An arbitary order by the LG guided by oversmart beaureucrats of Delhi in connivance with Delhi Govt Officials also hand in glove with some School Authorities, has put the future of lakhs of preschool children at stake.
The point system have incorporated certain elements which are manipulatable.
Read on how this nexus is operating to circumvent the Provisions of RTE and The Courts.
Ad-hoc orders of this kind reflect the quasi dictatorial attitude of the authorities. It seems that the orders have been passed to manipulate and “adjust” the RTE according to School lobby and beaureucrat lobby.
NO Research but just Implementation just like a whiplash.
Just consider the punishment meted out to majority of children : ---->
No sibling-- zero points
No interstate-transfer certificates-- zero points
None of the parents alumni-- zero points
Not a girl child-- 5 % less chance of selection
If my child is a first born he will be penalized 20 points in advance for not having an elder sibling. You should have made more babies guys. Single child norm goes out of the window here.
If I am a businessman or someone whose job is not transferable but might have been living close to a good school for last 30 years so what !! I will be penalized 5 points more.
If I did not attend a public school but a Govt school my child shall be punished with further 5 points.
If I have a boy child, that is a further 5% less chance for him.
Now The SCAM!!
This is how it all works without vitiating the Law but manipulating it.

Good time for touts and officials at SDM offices to make some quick buck.
People moving in cars have been seen lining up for admission under this category.
Get Transfer Certificates:
Even if you have an office operating from a shanty 500 meters in UP or Haryana from Delhi Border and coax your employer to write a transfer letter for another office in another shanty 500 meter into Delhi Border you are good. 5 more reward points for you.
Most of the potential seats for 70 point holders have been grabbed by these 5 points alone.
These are planned transfers. Transfer points were meant for occasional parents who genuinely needed seats if they were transferred. But these had to be limited to a certain percentage, like girls quota. Instead transfer points have nullified the distance parameter and have TOTALLY consumed the share of children living in neighborhood. Moreover who knows these transfer certificate holders have been Guided by the Schools themselves.
This appears to be denial of natural justice to the children living closeby.
Alumni:
The Raja ka beta Hi Raja scheme.
You did not go to Modern school or DPS or Cambridge?? So won't your kid because LG saab does not think This Raja Ka Beta hi Raja Scheme should be abandoned.
Draw dates not been told by some schools. Chup Chaap Strategy.
Schools still demanding money in cash for booking a berth to school. Very cunningly calling parents befor 28th and with subtle threats schools are asking for money.
The beneficiaries.
Fake transfer Certificate holders and those who havn't been living in Delhi.
School authorities. With cash in wallet very easy to overlook fake certificates.
Some money sucking Schools which have opened up in Delhi NCR who will lose no opportunity to suck money from desperate parents.
Fake EWS Certificate holders.
EWS issuing officials (obvious as to why).
Please Just scrap this point system and go for a simple lottery.

Totally agree to whatever you have said. There is no place for honest people who follow the norms. You have to be extraordinarily smart to flout the rules and play with the system to make things work for you here! So angry, so anguished and have totally lost hope from the system!

I have highlighted umpteen number of times, DOE is hand in gloves with schools. Until and unless we shake them up by sitting on a dharna, they will not move a hair and will continue to issue what I say mis-guidelines.
I totally appreciate the fact the some of the parent are going to LG and DOE office regularly but as I reiterated the fact in another post that 10-12 parents will not make a difference to them.
So what can we do now?
Sit in front of LG office for indefinite strike and people can come and join as per there availability. In case we manage a good number even on weekends, trust me that would be a great victory!
Also, we Indian are natural followers, if they see something happening indefinitely, they will join.
Few may not like this proposal but this is something which can work as a last resort!
