Transparency - is it too much to ask for... Cambridge NFC

Dear AN.com team,

Please note draw at Cambridge - NFC today was done in thoroughly unprofessional manner.

These are the key issues which i feel should be taken up (In fact i am in the process of writing a complaint myself on these issues to DOE.)

DRAW FOR GIRLS - All the chits of close to 1200 girl students were already put in the box, and parents were not even sure whether their cherubs name is inside the box or not. In fact when one the parents asked for vetting on this aspect the school authorities refused.

STAFF QUOTA - School has a staff quota of 6 seats, when inquired on the status of these seats. Parents were told even the staff of Cambridge branches which are not in Delhi like Noida, Indirapuram etc are eligible for admission under this quota. This is a clear cut way to ensure "BACKDOOR ENTRY FOR DONATION CASES)

WAITING LIST - Despite many parents insisting that the girl child quota waiting list should at least be of 10 candidates (Girl child quota (5%) - 6 seats), school authorities initially did not agree to having a waitlist for this category. Later, relented declared a waiting list of 3 candidates.

Also, many of the chits were open and their was scope for manipulation in the draw cos of this aspect.

Other parents who may have been present at the draw may please add.

In fact I have already lodged a complaint to doe about this school.... No transparency at all.. Their list also contains forged transfer cases

I believe Transfer cases should be given either 5% or 70% since logically if they are transferred during last one year, then they should not be usurping the right of poeple who have been staying in Delhi for more than 10-15 years. Even i they are transferred here and have got the address proof and other ID proofs for submission, it means that they are willing to stay for long and should be trated at par with other residents. Also in cambridge I reaised the point that if a Girl's name is already drawn in Girl's draw, how come it appears again in General category if they are taking the draw out of submitted forms. It means that the slips have been put after manually preparing them. Ideally these kind of cases should be rejected since it might be a case of Duplicate submission of forms.

Thumbs down to such schools and procedures...highly disappointed and disheartened the way entire process is being conducted all across...
There are few children who hv 10 seats and majority of lot dont hv a single selection...thanks to the obvious reasons...
Hope all the children get the admission in schools they deserve and meant for...

Please try to understand that this fight is not against NCR TRANSFER CASES but this Fight is against ALL TRANSFER CASES. Let's Meet over the weekend in good strength if you all really want to rollback transfer points. This fight is for our kids future.
