I agree with you Shruti.... then this distance points is of no use.... as many of the schools giving direct admissions to the siblings and the draw is happening only for Alumni and Transfer cases... rest for the children scoring 70 points means no admission in any of the schools

There is no delay.still there is complete one month remain.all things are ready, just remove the transfer points and redraw and its all final

I agree there is still time ... even if someone (DoE or the schools) raise the issue of paucity of time, we are ok with a delayed start rather than an unjust start ...

better late than never

Totally agreed...i very strongly feel and have reasons to believe that there r few schools who hv misused these transfer points...it will also b a strong check on them as it will give equal and strong opportunity to the 70 pointers in the draw of lots...so watever advantage one has is of sibling points and alumini points which i believe cant be manipulated...
Im hopeful that we are heading for better times and may the wisdom prevails...
Rgds.

"Delhi government, while agreeing to submit the report by February 28 when the matter will be heard, also said it is inclined to do away with the system of awarding five points to kids whose parents have transfered from another state. "

hope good sense prevails, and DOE agrees to do away with these 5 points in High court, please parents step up the pressure on DOE

Offering 5 points to transfer cases is nonsense.
I have seen some kids getting both sibling and transfer points, isn't it height of stupidity and cleverness.

R we all fools who are residing here for the last 30-50 years and still unable to secure a seat for our kids.

Transfer points should be abolished completely and girl/ single child should be given these 5 points.
On contrary I think distance should have been divided into range . At present 60 percents seats have gone to siblings . And rest will goto alumini. If I have studied from govt school my child wont get admission in any public school
@ Diya, plz don't loose hope. If the decision of Writ petition or PIL goes against Transfer points than we still have a chance

what will happened next ? Will there be any decision from Govt. ?

". . . a bench of acting Chief Justice B D Ahmed and Justice S Mridul said and directed Delhi government to submit a report by Friday." -

All schools will display their first list with waiting list on 28 Feb 2014 i.e. FRIDAY, then my humble question to all including Hon'ble Court that what will be the effect by the verdict? Is their any type of possibility?R YOU LISTENING?

depends on the forsight of DOE

PIL asks for fresh guidlines from DOE, If DOE intends to change its guidelines, it can order schools to stop taking admissions by 28 th.
