what will happen to already selected seventy five pointers.

Lottery means pure luck...so every child should be given a fair chance. No point system should be there.
Yes, they should give some points to first child.

This is a wonderful news!!! However, alumni play a very important role in education system. I don't know how many of us go back to our schools after passing but it inspires teachers and students a lot when they see an alumni of the school achieving some degree of success. Moreover alumni points give advantage in only one school unlike transfer points that were misused in all schools. In case of siblings - which parent would agree to send their children in two different schools. Some categorisation is definitely required else it will be free for all. What I foresee is scraping of interstate transfer points only and retaining the remaining criteria by DOE. I have neither alumni points nor sibling points. I am happy that now we'll get a chance to participate in the draw with 70 neighbourhood points!!!

I totally don't understand why siblings have given 20 points and first born child no points. this is totally unfair. why the hell these schools took ninety points first. it was no where in the rules that 90 points should be securing seats first?there's should be draw for everyone this admission should be scrapped totally. majority is not getting anything out of this. they should start again or declare this year as zero year or set proper rules again and start nursery session from July.
government and schools have totally made mockery out of nursery admissions. shame on this country
The point system like given above in this case every child can get equal chance.
Its really a very good news. Yesterday I was comparing the lists of two good schools in delhi and I found that about 20 students with transfer points were able to secure seats in both the schools and their names were appearing in the waiting list or list of students shortlisted for draw lots in one of the top ten schools of delhi. Now I think that our children will get fair chance of selection. Out of 300 seats in one of the best schools in delhi, only 12 seats were left for general category candidates with 70 ponts, after accomodating the candidates with 75 points due to interstate transfer. I think now the general category candidates will have a fair chance to succeed.

I guess you are telling about Bal Bharati pusa road! Only 12 out of 276 are from 70 pointers! Are you sure the draw for 12 was among 70 pointers? There might be 7K applicant with 70 pointers. If so then we stand a good chance now.

How about punishment to those who are found to have misused the transfer point? Should HC not decide a penalty for them? Even if the DOE rules are strictly followed then all their application stand void for this year. But i am not in favour of punishing kids on account of their parents misconduct. Every kid has his/her own future and personality.

I suggest a fine amounting to some good monetary value or social service should be awarded to those found misusing the system.

Hi thanx all who have made this happen.thanx dil se.
Lets hope for the best. Best of luck to all 70 pointers
I wish this had happened before the draws happened. For those of us who went through the trauma of sitting through the draws and finally saw a ray of hope have been told that for no fault of ours, the result stands nullified.

i think this move of ending  transfer point is good but will not help 70 pointers ,schools will again find way out of selling seats .as whose gona check how many seats are left after interstate transfer cases are out.international school are still sellings seats irrespective of abolition of managment quota.
