urgent - alumni points regarding

Dear all, 5 points should be given for first child otherwise Points for Sibling/Alumni should be discarded. Why Points are given against Alumni and Sibling??? Anyway its Govt policy but we think It should be abolished. Equal opportunity should be given to all children. Since Raja ka beta Raja concept nahi chalna chayia. One more thing since God has not made any difference among children then who are we? Points for other factors should be discarded. Through this plateform, I request all of you to take up the matter to the Competent Authority before issuing of new guideliness.

First child points should be given and at the same time it should be like that either sibling or alumni or first child is awarded to candidate. That would give some kind of equal opportunity to all..

Alumni points is granted in one school only unlike transfer cases where they used to get 5 points in all school within 8 kms

Respected priyanka madam.. i am against the points which are being given since Raja ka beta Raja...this is not fair else not possible then quota like girls should be fixed.

no its not true that my ward is getting or not getting admission in any of school of my choice, since coming draw will decide it. I am telling the face and on humanity grounds alumni points should be removed and should not give advantage to some special class.

Please understand, Alumni points are only VALID IN ONE SCHOOL! Thus, having spent 14 years of their life in a particular school, parents have a right to have some representation in that school. This in no way hampers anyone else's chances of getting admission. I am sure you will also have alumni points for your school which from your statement means unhappiness with your school! Please don't take your frustration out on others who think otherwise!

Yup i agree those with no Alumni Points will face "...others will have to settle for whatever they have in hand". But allowing  for a little bias will open door for arguments for bigger bias!! Don't you think so?

All we want is a possibly most fair guideline as it can be. Being lucky or Unlucky is the our luck and we have to settle with it.

Suresh- Understand your point but in any system, some rules will have to be put in place. Else it will be too chaotic to manage. Transfer points may not have a rationale considering it is the start of the session, but scrapping every point in the same tone does not make sense.

today i have written letter to DoE regarding removal of alumni points so friends if u really think then forward the same to DoE before issuing of new guideliness else forward it with some changes.

Respected Madam,

First of all I want to give thanks for making guidelines for nursery admission which is very much appreciated. Now, I want to draw your kind attention towards the points being given to alumni category, which is totally against the law of natural justice.

1. Alumni points is completely illogical.

2. I feel, all schools where draw was for 75 pointers, approx 30-40% were alumni and it deprives of the chances of General category parents who will be having only 70 points and now these seats are confirmed for alumni after transfer cases are being put in 70 points.

3. The concept of Raja ka beta Raja should be abolished and equal opportunity should be given to all children.

4. If it is not possible to abolish the alumni points then some percentage of seats may be fixed for Alumni category to give ensure justice to the kids of 70 points.
