One of the Dwarka School has asked to confirm admission NOW

After filling the forms of about 25 school I got a call from only one school in Dwarka. Due to current chaos, I'm still waiting for list of few schools. But school has asked to confirm admission by paying non-refundable amount of over 50K.

Can someone please suggest if school is asking for non-refundable amount is fair?

I'm afraid if I don't get seat in any of the other school where list is still waiting and the one selected refuse to give admission later.....what would I do?

Please suggest.

If u are happy with the school, there's no better way to secure admission

all waiting list are cancelled now .  is it waiting list in mount carmel or st thomas

As per me, as a school, It does have something to command 50k as donation. I heard JMIS is also taking appx this much as donation. Dwarka has many schools and comparatively, applicants are not much. They are taking an edge due to present chaos to fill up their seats asap before other schools do.

When I applied year back, my kids name appeared in none. Later, after everything settled, I was called by Indian Heights, Sachdeva for admission. So I think you should wait.  

That being said, if you are sure about school, most of us will shell 30k onwards anyways in case of 60% school in cash. Its harsh.
