No-win situation for parents still
Despite all the possible amendments in the nursery admission guidelines and instructions by the Directorate of Education, some schools in the Capital are continuing to exploit the parents.
After the Delhi High Court accepted the DoE’s measure to scrap transfer points and redo the draw of lots in all schools, parents are complaining that they are losing out on the chance as the schools are secretly holding the draw.
Complaining against the Rosary Church School, Kingsway Camp, one of the parents said they were not informed about the draw of the lots and ended up missing it. “We didn’t get any message from the school about the date and time of the draw and hence were not present there. When we went for the enquiry, we were told the authorities had shut the doors of the school early during the day,” said Vivek, a parent, on the behalf other parents residing in Mukherjee Nagar. “I had 70 points for my child as a neighbourhood benefit and hence, we were a part of the draw of lot selection but they never informed us,” he added. Just like Vivek, there are several other parents who are furious about the erring schools.
“I had applied to 20 schools and could not secure a single seat anywhere so far. I was pinning all hopes on Rosary Church School but it conducted the draw without informing us. God knows on what basis parents were invited,” said Reetika, a parent.
“We have received a lot of complaints that in many schools parents were not informed. It has become a circus this time and parents are at the receiving end,” said Sumit Vohra, founder of admissionsnursery.com, in unison with the parents.
However, sources from the school said that they had notified about the schedule of draw of lots on their website so that every parent could check the status.

Hi Sumit
Hope rule remains the same that at the time of draw of lots, it is not necessary for the parents to be present there! Our son's name is there in the list of draw of lots in DPS, Mathura Road which will happen today in the afternoon, but unfortunately we are unable to join there.

Some Schools not updated web till yet.No information on the website till yet,
Schools are not update website
-Indian school,Tagore,Daisy Dales,Bluebells,Cambridge NFC, Summer field Kailash colony, South delhi public, daisy dales.
Only DPS and GLT send sms for re-draw
Who will ask them to update webiste.

@swati, even we missed dav pushpanjali and dldav PP. But now both these schools are not sharing the list of selected candidates with us... they are saying that they will put the list on 15th.. this is totally non transparent.. what is the problem is putting the list of selected applicants with points on the school / website.. we don't know if our kid is selected or not?? also please note that after the transfer points gone, schools have got great opportunity to do manipulations.. dav pushpanjali had only 14 seats vacated after transfer scrapping, vgs rohini has only 15 seats vacated after transfer scrapping.. Now where are all the transfer seats gone which were said to be > 60% of the admitted candidates???

I applied in 40 schools including 3 in NOIDA but no luck so far. My only hope was Apeejay Sheikh Sarai where I am an alumni but they are not taking admissions due to construction in the school. It is impossible for me to attend all the draws. Nursery admission in Delhi has become a big joke and parents are the joker of this Great Delhi Nursery Admission Circus!!!!

i have also faced the same problem none of the schools around our area advised the days of the draw and neither send us any message, quietly they made some draws and put up the list. Schools like Bal bharti public school and salwan montessori too.

Some schools intimate about the draw..... but not about the fee structure while some schools didn't told about the draw or fees or anything..............so far i didn't get my daughter's name in any school list. really harassing............ schools are playing their game and hence making puppets to frustrated parents...

Just a humble request to those parents who will attend draw of any school...Please note the registration nos of the confirmed seat/WL and upload the same here...its not possible for everyone to attend draw..also schools dont update their website ..and dont display the list in the school notice board also after the draw and ask to wait till 15 march...Thanks
