yes...infact the onset of this chaos was seen the day these guidelines were published. Its bogus to see 7o points given straight to neighbourhood. This very thing made other points negligible from the very beginning. Ideally, there should not be any point system wherin we are putting the future of our tiny tots on their lucks. Ridiculous thought! there should be a proper process wherein the child should be judged on Age Appropriate knowledge and decision should be done by the school. But strict eyes to watch that there is no malpractice or management quota while doing it.

If all the criteria are to be scrapped, scrap the 'distance' too. Is that not discriminatory against those residing just outside the circle?

Thats Brilliant!! Come One Come All!

And people from the opposite side of the planet should also get into the draw.

Scrap the concept of distance for little children, let them all come from Timbuctoo and let our children go to Timbuctoo to study, in return!!!

sibling nd first child point shud be there

I completely agree, sibling and alumni points should be done away with.....these are the real problem areas....and then let everybody be equal

Abhijit, it means you want complete draw of lot for all. You don't want second child to go with the same school. You want admission with complete lottery system. You agree with luck prevails all the time and want your child's future on luck only. You think your point of approach will not invite PIL/Stays/Orders. Plz comment who know your take may prove vital in decision making.

I AGREE WITH U MR VIRENDER KUMAR, POINTS SHOULD BE FOR FIRST CHILD. IS IT CRIME TO BEING A FIRST CHILD FOR CHILDREN

There should not be any kind of Reservations for anybody. We have already seena lot of Reservations in every walk of Life and this needs to stop somewhere.

Someone please tell me about Sanskrit school. Will the general category draw for 90 (70+20) pointers will be held again or not???

scrap it all!!!

sibling is OK and justified because parents cant run after two buses to leave their child if the are studying in different school, plus different set of environment means different personality development different set of dates for exams, sports functions, phew! parents cant manage all that, spare the sibling criteria.

other than that only a management quota 5%, girl quota 5% (to bring more girls in a class as there are less girl applicants)and an alumni quota 5%

other 85 % should fall in general category (including the ews) Put everyone in the draw list and select the candidates. If the selected child is from EWS, let the school extend the financial benefits applicable for EWS for upto 25 % of the students, simple!

in general category also the preference should be given to ppl residing within 1 Km of school, then within 3 Km then 5 Km and then within 8 Km. students beyond that should not be eligible for admission as such small children should not waste their starting of life in traveling so much!

and distance criteria should not be applicable to siblings, if a bus is coming to a place to pick up a child then how come the second child cant apply because now the neighborhood criteria is changed?
Dear Vohr & AN teams,

If AGAIN REDRAW TAKING PLACE , THEN PLS REMOVE THE SIBLINGS AND ALUMNI POINTS , GET JUSTICE NOW ALL.
WE HAVE APPLIED 30 SCHOOLS BUT AS ON DATE NOTHING IN MY HAND .

EVERY DAY IN MORNING WE GET UP WITH NEW HOPE FOR MY CHILD .

agree with Dr. Samar : first of all scrab all n redraw for all.....

if sibling points remain dere then provide same point to first born child . IS IT CRIME TO BEING A FIRST CHILD FOR CHILDREN
