If we go all over the place and file for sibling, alumni removal, nothing will happen. Any petition should focus on one issue - which is - that a selected parent should not be disturbed because of transfer points removal and even if chances for transfer cases go down, it's small injustice for greater good. Just one core issue. If we mix too many things, no relief will occur
What is the greater good in this mr mannish. Only good is for your child and injustice for others Isn't it :)
There should be a lot of brainstorming before DOE/ HC give any further guidelines/ judgements.... We have lost 2 confirmed seats in 2 good schools. By the time u relax that you got a seat, an order comes nullifying it!!! For the last one month we are running around like fools... Now I feel like filing a case against DOE for harassment and emotional torture...

Dear Preeti

What are the points that you are going to take up forward.

Please let us know the same, so as we may support you

I am in. Lets please gather at a convenient place together

we need to act REAL FAST so that we can prevent the final damage.

Friends:

Your petition is having an impact. However, you need to generate more support. Numbers matter!

While defending the flawed guidelines, the counsel appearing for Hon'ble Lt. Governor of Delhi informed the Hon'ble Delhi High court during arguments in W.P.(C) 1497 / 2014, that in large number of schools those with 70 points were not even eligible for the draw. It needs to be clarified here that the counsel was trying to impress the Hon'ble Court that 70 pointers which now also include those who has transfer points earlier, still have a chance since seats have been vacated. What he did not disclose is the fact that the vacated seats would first get occupied by those with Alumni points and chances of those with 70 points would be almost negligible in the so called "Good School".

Since, a redraw is to happen, this is another Golden Opportunity for the Directorate of Education to Rectify its flawed order.

best

Amit

Agreed, alumni points should be scrapped. Not sure though how much feasible it is this time.

i am agree with Manish je.

we should fight for one point only i.e. those wo have been selected through 70 points should not be considered for re-draw.

This forum is being used as a platform  to voice  all the parents grudges,  now parents  with first child are going against the sibling point too and planning to go to HC or Sc against it.... everyone is just concerned about their own benefit, i find it very sad when they talk big about justice to all. i have a  kid going to a school already , i too had gone through this situation 3 years back, i was in the draw of lots, so don't talk about the mental stress , we have gone through mental stress too when  our child was being admitted, it was a boy so no  points i got that time except distance. Now when my second kid is in for admission ... its  not fair to say that two kids can go to 2 diff school and thats ok.

Completely dis-agree maam. And please note - you just used this forum to voice support for a parameter THAT SUITS YOU! People dont have confirmed seats here and hence i could not care less about your discomfort. If the comparison is between a kid going to a different school than his sibling vs. a kid not getting admission, i think the 2nd kid should get preference.
