Why Alumni Category?

Why alumni category?

If this category continues, then after some time, only those students will get admission to the school whose ancestors have studied at the school.

Is it justified? Is this right to equality?

I think, Hon'ble court should intervene on this category as well?

I think like most other countries, distance should be the only criteria.

i AGREE with the siblings aspect! But TOTALLY DISAGREE on alumni points, as there are a new batch of pass out every year, if they all want to send their kids in the same school even that is not possible. and the no of seats are not increasing every year but the number of alumni are increasing every year. plus any kid should have equal chance of studying in that school. not altogether scrapping of points, but a quota should be there.
