Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
Dear AN TEAM
Pls have a look of list of schools 60 percents of seats consumed by Sibblings and 20 % by alumni where as only 20 % left out for only neighbourhood points
You tell me this is justified !!
Each child should get equal chance to get admission in Good schools ..

Gaurav, let us be practical here and not react emotionally. These points have a practicality attached to them and thats the reason these are followed all over the world along with neighbourhood. Whatever be the criteria for admission, or lets say no criteria for admission(complete lottery system), a large percentage of kids will still not get a call from any of the schools. This is so because the number of seats available are fairly less in number than the kids seeking them. Hence keeping 100% parents happy and contented is not feasible at all. So let us talk about things that make sense and are logical enough to debate:
Preeti - A correction -- Point 3 is not followed in any developed country.. Point 1 has the maximum emphasis and the govt has to enrol a student in the school if he/she lies in the vicinity area ..If the parent moves out of the vicinity area - they change schools as well..
Have studied in UK/US and this is the way it works..
Regarding your words on feeling bonded may be correct - but not at the expense of any other child's future
Rahul: Correction, we are still in a developing country and not a developed country by any means.
I just want to ask a simple question from all you guys who have a problem with one or the other criteria as set by the Govt. why you guys were sleeping when the guidelines were issued.
People like you are crying for one thing now and when it will be your chance to gain a benefit on some other ground will cry for that and then everyother criteria would be bogus for you.
Pls grow up and have capabilities of anticipating things rather than crying, crying....... and so on
Pls make use of your high end education in UK / US
We have grown up enough to respect someones opinion in a public forum @Shikha.. No one is crying here and no one was sleeping.. If it comes to your child future - a parent can only become aggressive (like you) or calmly try to discuss the opinions and work things out.. and both the ways are correct in their own way..and right education teaches us to communicate and discuss in the right way - no matter where in the world you achieve that.
So words of respect will be very much appreciated -- rest is up to you..
And To bring to your attention : I have got my kid admitted through Alumni quota only - and I will respect whatever the Court says.. But I f I feel unjustice - I will raise my voice against it -- be it whatever late ..
preeti would u have given the same logic if this was ur first child n u were not an alumni of any school here?? pls understand that there are 70/0 pointers who also NEED an admission for their child. by your logic schools will become family affairs where generations will study in the same school.
Mr. Gaurav Gupta!!!!! A simple question to You.
Were you sleeping when the initial point system was issued in Dec '13
If yes, then I must say that peolple like you have a habit of making hue & cry only on the happening of an event and therby creates a hopeless atmosphere for the whole society.
Pity on you and your thinking
Ms Shikha Gupta
Instead of pitying someone for his opinion - widen your thinking .. You have your opinion and Gaurav has his own.. He is not goinig and fighting a case in SC with his statement.. Dont get agressive and write your words as a parent and not an enemy..
Who on earth told you that everywhere in the world SIBLINGS do get the benefit... Alumni i agree do not in most of the countries... but siblings and neighborhood is followed everywhere....
By the way where were you guys when this system was decided im DECEMBER... SLEEPING??
well in december no one could have predicted that the no. of seats available in schools would be outnumbered only by sibling and alumni and 70 was the new name for 0. U REALIZE THE FAULTS OF A SYSTEM ONLY AFTER GOING THROUGH IT. THATS WHY THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED' AMENDMENTS'. even constitutions are amended as per the demand of the hour. would u ask the makers of constitutions the same question' were u sleeping earlier"???
By the way Gaurav, your data above is only misleading. Pls donot play with the words as that is only taken as a weakness. No seats can be consumed by sibling or alumni if the same doesnot have neighbourhood. One cant be staying 12kms away from the school and yet get thru to the school with sibling / alumni points. Pls get your facts right. Also, where were you in dec 13. Why now creating a rucus, and becoming an anti social element.
Charu, the only reason why i have elaborated on each point is that there is an apparent practicality attached to them. Pls stop talking vaguely and start debating maturely
pls see data of major schools in south delhi - all seats consumed by sibling/ alumni within 8 kms. u cant justify a wrong decision coz all are living within 8 km. what about a parent who is living right opposite the school gate but its his first child and he is not an alumni??
