@Krishna,

The purview of RTE act is 6- 14 years so it is not applicable in this case

@ RVG, your point 1 looks most logical and in all probability be the decision of wise men at the SC, but with a caveat of penal prosecution on parents submitting forged documents instead of scrapping the IST points all together. Question is, with ever rising costs, scrapping of mgmnt seats, introduction of reserved free seats, the schools would not be too motivated to conduct any scrutiny of documents, so will the Delhi govt be willing to do it (through a task force of DoE officials or some other agency like Delhi Police)?

Sachhin ji

A fast solution would be, something on the lines of Special provisions Act delhi which provided instant relief against PILs and also stoped sealing in delhi, at that time also many PILs were filed by different groups & delhi govt acted very late and passed this act as last resort, would or CAN LG in his powers right know do something similar despite of the SC stay or hearing.

LG and delhi govt going to defend their stand of revoking 5 tfr points and defending their circular which protected first draw and wanted second draw for 70 pointers and all waitlisters. If someone wants to be heard he/she has to file an impleadment application in teh case.

@ Amit Bansal, LG or Delhi Govt is representing 70 pointers in SC

Sachin, Shilpas point is valid...because all the parents who had names in multiple schools kept only one, so if they have left a minority school basis the order of HC, SC should honour those admissions?
