But some parents will get angry with that for the fault of DOE/LG. Division bench of HC erred by keeping IST out of admission process. That gave handle to IST to approach SC . They have a genuine grievance.

Personally I see 70 point redraw is the only likely scenario. Complete reset only if DOE/LG agree.

There is no ready made formula which can appease everyone. The courts have to look into scenarios that Justice is done (in legal terms) and the judgement is that of least harm. I am sure the scenario that you are pointing to will be just a few who were too lucky to get a seat in Minority as well as General category.

In jurisprudence terms IST case is strong. Court will always try to strive for equality before law. If they cant do that they will ahev to create a formula which compensates the loss that IST has suffered. My formula was just an idea to compensate that loss while as adopting the least harm approach.

Just for record I am 70 pointer without any luck so far
