Amidst all this confusion over nursery admission.... schools are again in win win situaion to loot the parents again.... so shameful

 Yes Mahesh

See blog post on top .. reason given by Maxfort to increase fees .

Ok maam.....

Schools can hike fees only after obtaining prior approval from DOE/ Board. DOE Authorities should take immediate action against these schools and curb this menace of irrational and erratic fee hike.

All settled there maam.... no action so far taken against any school yet... no likely in near future either.... parents are helpless....

Mr.Vohra is fighting against corruption in Education. Parents should also use RTI another powerful weapon against corruption.

All efforts by mr vohra and team is no doubt doing marvellous job.... we all parents are really thamk ful to your efforts

Thanks Mahesh for your kind words .

Schools can go for fee hike as per Education Act to a certain limit. Increasing fee unlimited must be justified and approval from the competent authority. These days schools are charging for different reasons. Few points can be valid after duly completed audit of accounts:-

a) Expenditure incurred due to increase in pay scales/promotion of staff

b) Expenditure incurred due to increase in taxes levied by the government on buses/elect/water charges.

c) Incorporation of special infrastructure/excursions/additional facilities not provided at the time of set up.

d) School uniforms and books and stationery to most minimal one.

Few other points may also be there for increasing fee, but all this must be implemented with prior consent of School Management, Psrent Representative, student body and the Govt. machinery. Same should be well communicated publicly before granting admission for a new session.

Sir

I went through the below links. As per one of the links limit for upper fee hike is set. Can you please confirm.

@lathaa ji its all in vein to argue with mahram ji.... he has a soft corner for pvt schools and there management... can't understand how he can support the open loot by pvt schools...?????

These are very old and most of the schools are charging tuition fee ranging from Rs. 3500-6500 per month for the last many years. There are certain circulars which authorize schools to increase their fee, in absence of which, this much tuition fee could not be charged. Therefore, increasing the fee to such limits or beyond might have some authority to do so. I am not aware of those notifications, but this was based on past/present price index.

Parents demand modern facilities and technologies in the schools. Other routine activities are also required. Earlier computer-aided learning was not in practice, thereby not so much tuition fee. Now scenario and approach is changing day by day. Thereby allowing schools to increase fee. Top schools hike fee with recommendations from everyone concerned and justify fee hike. So was my comments.
