Hi Sandeep i was curious to know what did you not opt for blue bells

@sunny, I am born and brought up in gurgaon . Also I am not satisfied with the criterias of the school ranking system. Blue bells is the closest school to my place . I did like it but kept it as last option because of its location, infra and teaching methods. Also I am not saying MR 46 is the best school . Will putting my child into the best school will really give her an edge over other child at her age . I don't think so . All I wanted to say is let's stop putting ourselves and our childs take that much stress of getting into the so called best school in town . let's take it easy as school does not build child's future. This is not the end of world.

Sounds quite strange to me as well like Rohit and Seemaa expressed.

I also couldn't understand the selection of MRIS as compared to BB, if I go by your own criteria and thought process.

@Rajat . I have spoken to my contact who is a teacher in BB. It is a pure acedemics based school with less focus on extra curriculars which i think are more imp in today's world .BB is conjusted and student to teacher ratio is also high. At this age child needs to chill out pick up the activities of his/her choice. I think by putting in BB i would cut a lot of activities which are required today.  Thats my way of looking at it . I don't want to participate in the mad rush . I choose a couple of them i got into  1 of them . I am happy . The hard task will start when the schooling actually starts . This is just the begining my freind.

By running behind schools we are creating a hype amongst school and thats why they are increasing fees y o y and they are happy . We as parents are stressed because of this.

All the best!

Hello Ramni,
No, we did not receive any call from Suncity school. To be honest, I had very feeble hope as the distance between the school and my place is quite a bit and they have good points for neighbourhood.
I guess people are still getting calls for interaction. The school is expected to display their selected candidates list on 15 sept.
Thanks. One from my neighbourhood apartments has got a call even though the distance between my place to school is not very close. What I learnt when I visited them during questionnaire filling time is that the selected candidates list will be put up on 15th and there was no interaction sessions mentioned. And suddenly on the forum I learnt that they are having interaction sessions. Pretty unclear about the whole selection process. No transparent at all is what I feel. How has your overall experience been ? Has your child got through anywhere ?
No Ramni, not as yet. Still waiting for her to get it somewhere. Before Suncity, we couldn't make it in DPS 45 draw of lots. Now waiting for LVIS result, going for interaction. Have applied in Shri Ram and Shikshantar also.
Its been around 2 months now following the newspapers, school websites and this forum. Firstly, its tough to decide amongst so many schools and apply.Secondly, waiting for result and not getting through is very very disappointing. For us, these 2 months have been really really stressful and its still going on.
I am unhappy with lack of uniformity in selection procedure in the schools.
How has it been on your side? Could you get through in any school of you choice?
hello suman! i guess once lvis, suncity, shri ram r out. Many parents might shift to these schools. last yr also i heard ppl gettin calls from dps afterwards also. Apart from this if nothing works out then u may apply nxt yr also. Some good schools like millenium remains open till jan also.
