Pooja - I think they sent out some letters in error. Go back a few pages and you'll see someone talking about it. Your son must have been selected for DPS-I and they sent a letter for DPS Meerut Road, by mistake.
Call the school to confirm.
Its not a mistake. I also got the same letter. I think the kids who do not make it to DPSI are given option to take admission in DPSI meerut road campus. Personally I am not happy about it. Its a new school and 18 Kms from Indirapuram. I do not want my kid to travel this much.
Hi, Amit - My daughter and nephew didn't make it in DPS-I but we didn't get any such letter. Moreover, i heard someone saying (go back a few pages) that they called the school upon getting the letter and the school said it had been dispatched in error.
Can you call the school tomorrow and let us know what they say? It would help others who got such letters and are confused.
I've received same letter which says "sorry to inform you that your son is not selected for DPS-I indirapuram" ... but in end it says that you are selected for Merrut Rd branch and can take admission till end of this month ... definitely not a mistake ..
Really? And you had applied for Indirapuram branch? please call up the school to confirm, must be by mistake
tHIS CAN NOT BE A MISTAKE, I guess some other parent (check few page back) also got the same letter. Pls check with school.
I think in that case its justified, because people who are not selected in DPSI are getting such letters for meerut road branch, which is fine. I don't think they will send such a letter to anyone who was selected in second list for DPS, Indirapuram branch.
Pooja, Same is the case with my kid, she was not eligible for many schools, but I will strongly suggest you to get your kid admitted in a good school this year itself. The schools change admission criteria every year, and next year, he/she may be over the age limit. I had checked the criteria for DPS Noida, FAS for last year, which was 3+ yrs , and they have changed it this year to 3.5 yrs.
Please do not wait for next year, this has happened with my neighbors, and the next year, their child was over the age limit in almost all schools due to changes in criteria.
If distance is not the criteria for you, then I think you should consider this school. They will do their best to build the reputation of the school. Later on you can think about changing the school if you aren't satisfied. The new age schools will always be ready to take your kid.
