got a call from Apeejay and my lil angel has been selected and today we had an interaction for KPS and for amity it is on 23rd sep...Last date for submission of fee for Apeejay is 18th and KPS will bring out the result on 19th so really confused....please help

if you really like KPS/Amity more and are sure your ward will get through then give a go to APJ. On the grounds all the three schools are more or less same with Amity/APJ having more brand name than KPS which reflects in their fees too. In case of doubt you can block your seat in APJ but it will come at a cost. Also all the schools are fairly good and I personally think you should go ahead with APJ leaving others so that other parents can go on with more probabilities.

Congrats for APJ :)

Hi Aditya

Thanks. I am not sure whether she will get through KPS or Amity or not but for Apeejay teacher and student ratio is quite high so I am in dilemma

Aditya

in APJ its 50:1 and in Amity its 35 students in a class and in one class there is a main teacher, a co-teacher and a maid and in KPS its around 30:1

No 50:1 is an inflated figure I know coz my kid is going there. In Amity I remember there are around 40 students per class which should same in Khaitan. If Khaitan is having 30 kids in a class then it's better.

Student teacher ratio in all these schools is almost same i.e. around 1:40-45. In APJ they have 2 teachers for a class of 45 so it's not that bad and I guess it's same for all traditional schools.

I asked a teacher of APJ and a parent of APJ kid and both confirmed me its 50:1.....though tomorrow  I m going to school to pick the admission letter then will cross check..Thanks Aditya for helping with the ratio

Sampurna,

Actually this is what I am telling you from my experience last year. Even someone told me it's 60:1 and I was quite worried. But I think such ratios used to be there in past when they do not have much face-off with Amity/KPS/FAS etc. But anyways you can always derive this from a simple logic, Lotus Valley and other new age schools are roughly charging double but there total strength is less and ratio is around 1:20-25. So equation will always be same in all traditional schools. After all they all keep their profits on priority :)

Also people used to talk a lot on creepy bus service in APJ but its not bad and they do have a staff, maid, guard in bus.

Anyways Good Luck. For APJ I am sure of this ratio in nursery as my kid is going there.

Baaki I will sugest you better confirm with school, it may be possible thats ratio is high in senior sections but am sure its same almost everywhere.

Best of Luck.

Yes, it's 50 students in a class. All other schools like Amity, Cambridge are way lesser..

Less than 40...CSN is 35-40..

Ashish your ward is in which class in APJ ?

Ward of my colleague is in 1st Class. He too confirmed the same..

CSN is even less than 35, its between 30 -35
