Hi - I stay in vikaspuri. For most of the schools the score for my kid comes out to be between 45-60 ( for dwarka and paschim vihar schools)

Is it a good enough number to fill a form. Pls suggest. He is a first child and we fall under general catoregy. It gives me a lot of stress to realise the fact that with this score the admission becomes really tough.

This is a problem that even we are facing. Living in South Delhi we usually have less than 40 points in almost all the schools. It is exceedingly tough to get through. Many schools do not have points for first born. So basically if we have a first born male child we cannot get admission in good school? I think for first born kids the criterion for siblings should not be there or the points for siblings should be added.

From this system it looks like they do not deserve an education. It is disgusting.

Priyanka  do  not  fret  too much  just  wait  and  watch  you  will find  a  number  of  schools where  your  child  will  get  admission there  are  enough  good  schools .just wait till they declare the lists

Its not that your child will not get admission but more off you may not get admission to a school of your choice, admission in popular schools like DPS, Lorretto etc...is matter of pure luck or the right connections. Many schools will be having seats vacant at the end of the process so have to be patient.

Do fill forms of KR Mangalam, Oxford school. Also fill at least 30 forms including schools from Dwarka. You will be getting points from Dwarka school. Also many schools are giving same points for first child / girl child. Do not miss out on those. 45-60 is a good score don't get disheartened.

First Child Points are far less than the Siblings points. Also I am suprised at the distance criteria of differnt schools, some schools are having slabs like 0-1Km, 1-3Km, whereas some have same points for 0-15KMs and that too arial distance.There should be a uniform distance slab all around. 

I think there is absolutely no hope for First Born Male Child in the School of my choice.

Birla Vidya Niketan : Online forms shall be available from Dec 26

But the link to register is still not there on school's website..

If any one comes across the same, pls communicate
