Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

Admission Dates | Admission Criteria | Compare schools | Fee Details

Dear Sakshi/  Lathaa/ Moderators,

Highly appreciate the efforts you all have put in to help parents throughout this admission ordeal. I had heard from friends how tough it is to get kids admitted to Nursery, but realized how deep the water was once I jumped into the pool!!!

Kudos to you all for guiding parents like me and many others, because without forums like this one, being updated on school timelines, draws and results would be impossible.

Please help me with your feedback on Free Progress Schools like Mirambika which do not have any structured curriculum as against more established and conventional schools such as Blue bells/ BVN/ Amity. Mirambika is very close to my place and is a beautiful and creative concept, but how would you rate it for holistic development? Also, considering that the school does not have an established Board and curriculum and from what I hear, the child would need to be shifted to another school some years down the line, how wise is it to choose Mirambika over others??

Thanks

DPS VK is among top academics based school

you should visit both the schools at the time of disbursal and parents feedback should help you understand the ideology .

Aurobindo’s educational model of Free Progress schooling is followed in Mirambika. It best suit students as learners. The aim of Free Progress is to help the child to develop his intellectual, emotional, moral, spiritual and physical being out of their own capacities in a participatory manner and at their own pace.  The role of the teacher here is to guide a student to learn for themselves.

Teacher is a task master, a helper and a guide. His business is to suggest and not to impose. They help the children discover their potential through guiding them, and helping them to know their interests. The activity done  here is to develop a sense of responsibility, duty, self-help, dignity of work, self-restraint and co-operation. I think it best suited for gifted children and kids learn according to their capacity. Very good for holistic development.  Student teacher ratio is very low.

I would suggest you should select the school according to your child's capacity.
