Latest DOE Circulars-Clarification for Minimum Age Criteria & Notification for EWS Admissions

Dear Friends,

DOE has clarified finally that "minimum age criteria for Pre School (Nursery) admissions in Delhi will be 3 years completed by 31st March of the year in which admission is being sought."

Similary "minimum age criteria for Pre Primary (KG) class will remain 4 years as on 31st March of the year in which admission is being sought."

DOE has also in its detailed notification defined the EWS category (Weakers seactions/Disadvantaged Groups) eligibility and created Distric Admissions Monitoring Committee headed by respective DOE deputy directors in each districts of Delhi to make sure that schools meet its required EWS quota in nursery admissions this year(i.e.25% of class strength).

pls be in touch with your respective schools in which you are seeking the admissions..as schools may announce KG Admissions only on availability of seats( if any)..

DO THAT MEAN THAT SCHOOL LIKE ST COLUMBUS/MT CARMEL,AT PAUL WILL CAHNGE THERE AGE CRITERIA TO 3+

dear pritha ji,

they should be if they are admitting students for their Preschool (Nursery)...in any case one can complain to the DOE for any violation of these final age guidelines..
