Hi ,
Can some one help me understand what is "Draw of Lots" process and why few schools are having DOL before 24th Jan. As I understood, First list of selected students was supposed to be published on 24th Jan. Also how many selection lists are published by schools ?
For instance , "Vivekanand school, D-Block, Anand Vihar" has conducted DOL on 20th Jan and only 20 students were selected while ~ 60 students were put in Waiting list. Not sure why only 20 students are selected while school has 200+ seats for Pre-school.
What are the chances of child getting selected if his/her name is in WL.
Any feedback on "Vivekanand school,D-Block, Anand Vihar"
Thanks.

Also is it mandatory for school to put list of all Applied candidates with their points earned by 16 or 17 Jan ?
I dont see this any list on Vivekanand school website except DOL results.

Hi Abshek, Yes but many schools did not .
refer https://www.admissionsnursery.com/forum/topics/salwan-public-school...
Hope it helps !!
The applicants who have higher value points which is. above the cut-off i.e. above the points of other applicants will be selected or confirmed seats after verification if any. Rest of the applicants with same value points in a tie for remaining seats will be called for draw before or after the first list. After first list is declared there are more chances of a kid getting selected in more than 1 school and if kid who was selected opt for a better school and the vacant seats will be filled by calling the applicants from waiting list.
According to this school total seats for general quota are 153 and 53 EWS/DG/CWSN seats.
Thanks for the explanation.
