School not giving refund after cancellation of addmission

I .got my ward admitted to gd salwan school and paid 35000/- in Jan 20. But she got selected in other better school so I mailed gd salwan for cancellation of addmission and refund in march and due to lockdown there was no staff to talk in school. But when I went to school today for refund they are saying you won't get refund as you intimated after 1 month. Can I do something in this case. Please help....

As per DOE guidelines fee is refundable if applied within one month only.

Refund policy of Bal Bharti School Noida as available on their website is not as per DOE guidelines. As per them, they are charging 3 months tuition fees but will not refund in case of cancellation after one month of admission. As per DOE guidelines only one month fee can be retained.
