Schools have to ready sites by Jan 5: CBSE
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education has set January 5, 2012, as the deadline for schools to develop and update their websites with comprehensive information. In a circular issued to schools, the board has pointed out that many schools have still not developed their websites or have not updated them.

CBSE, in October 2010, made it mandatory for every affiliated school to develop its own website containing comprehensive information about the school, which includes affiliation status, infrastructure details, names and designation of teachers, class-wise enrolment of students, and details of the school management committee, among others.

The schools were given six months from the date of issuing of the CBSE circular to implement the orders.
