'Mission nursery admission' begins in Delhi tomorrow

Delhi: With the nursery admission process in Delhi starting from tomorrow, parents are all set for the winter scramble to secure a seat for their tiny tots in schools of their choice.
Keeping in mind the harrowing experience they had last year, many parents came online to alert others on how they could avoid unnecessary difficulties that often put hurdles in their "mission admission".
"Expect long queues outside schools without any sitting arrangement and it may take from two to three hours in few schools to get the forms. So get ready for that. Don't take your tiny tots along with you," advices Pramod Kumar in a messaged posted on www.admissionsnursery.com. Kumar, who claims to have applied in 23 schools for his child's admission last year, also suggests parents to read the forms carefully, fill them up and submit the same day to avoid multiple trips to the school.
"Going by my experience last year, I would suggest that parents reach school early," says Asha in another message to parents.
Maharam, another parent on the forum, has posted a format of the affidavit required for applying in the first boy child category.
"There has been huge discussion on many such issues that can help parents to do their homework before plunging into this battle for admission," says Sumit Vohra, the founder of the website.
"These discussions are not only making parents aware about the intricacies of the admission process, but also making the entire process easier for them," he told PTI.
As per the guidelines issued by Directorate of Education of Delhi, the forms will be made available from January 2 to 16, and the entire process of admission will have to be completed by March 31. The schools will have to publish the first list of selected candidates by February 1 and second list by February 28.
Meanwhile, many schools across the city have issued guidelines for parents to ensure smooth sale of forms which are to be available from 8:30 am.
"It's important for parents to be punctual as they have to queue up outside the school. We can't issue forms after the scheduled time," says Jyoti Bose, principal of Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan.
"Parents must carry the requisite documents when they come to fill forms. But the most important documents are proof of birth," says Usha Ram, principal of Laxman Public School.
There are about 4,500 schools in Delhi and NCR, of them over 2,000 are unaided private schools which have been the first preference of parents.

Bal Bharti Pitampura asking form parents Pan Card Numberand profession in detail.
BGS International Annual income and parents qualification and occupation. But Bal Bharti Dwarka has not done any type of screening in application form. Hope all schools will follow BBPS Dwsrks.

ैhi sakshi could you please inform me for springdales can we fill forms for Dk and pusa road both? Also, I heard there are two separate form for pusa road and Kirti nagar springdales ..can we fill in both?

VIS sec-10 Rs.500 , R.D.Rajpal Rs.500, Lancer Rs.500 and many more. PArents are frustrated since schools are not giving forms without prospectus.

Now the parents be ready with the following documents - Make atleast 20 photocopy of each document to avoid last minute hurdles.
1. BIRTH Certificate - An Important document. can be asked - attested by G.Officer/ Self Attested/ or just a zerox.
2. Address proof - Ration Card/ Passport/ Lease Agreement etc.
3. Proof of Alumni
4. Proof of Sibling
5. Affidavit for First Born
6. Proof of Transfer case
7. Proof of Single Parent
8. Affidavit / proof of Girl Child
9. Proof of EWS - Income Certificate
10. Photograph of Mother, Father and Child in Passport size and in Stamp Size.
11. Proof of Minority
12. Proof -if parents are in noble profession/cause.
13. Proof - Special need child

Parents who can not secure points for Alumni, Sibling, Transfer or Girl child be ready with some source / donation for management seat as for sure their ward will not get even shorlisted in any good schools. As almost 55-70 points goes to these categories.
How can one secure admission with only 0-30 points (which are the max points for distance).. that is also when you live nearby..
There are atleast 5-6 schools which are within the range upto 5 km from my residence but my child even could not get shorlisted.
BIG CHEER TO SCHOOLS as they always WIN......

Christian Schools like Faith Academy & St. Michaels giving 50 & 40 points respectively for Christians....this is castism.....No hindu school is giving any weight-age like that....
This is pathetic....you can only score 5 & 10 points respectively in these schools....Still Faith Academy selling form with prospectus of Rs. 200/-......how any person can get admission there???

hi could anybody suggest can we fill up forms for different locations of the same school,ie if i live close to r k puram can i apply to both dps rk puram and the vasant vihar branches??
