This year nursery school admission criteria is so frustrating, it is very clear now that only children of alumni or a child already having sibling in the school have  a right or the transfer cases (I tried hard but still failed to under the the logic behind transfer cases getting preference). Others do not stand any chance.....

Now its all reservation...

- reservation for EWS category

- reservation for alumni cases

- reservation for sibling cases

- reservation for transfer cases//

Where should middle class like us go......to the Government  schools? Even Government also does not have any confidence in their schools and that is why they have made reservation for EWS category in private schools.

70 points for distance is just an eyewash only, in effect there are no points for distance its on points for alumni, sibling and transfer and of course reservation for EWS.   

Guys I think we need to do something about this... we will have to raise our voice or else our children will suffer.....

I believe the way to do this if the 70 points parents form a group is to file a PIL in the HC/SC.....then we may have lost this year, atleast for the next yr, this system will be junked.....but it has to be a solid water tight plea with data to back up.....if neighbourhood is the real and dominant philosophy, then clearly other methods have to be found.....if there are special categories like siblings, transfers,alumni...they should not be clubbed with general.....something to that effect which can be finetuned....Maybe Mr. Sumeet Vohra you should take the lead here

In DPS dwarka the girl children with 90 points already selected for verification of documents are also appearing in the list of draw 5% for girl child,why?Candidates with 70 points are not considered at all,why?This process is really unfair.Request all the parents with 70 points and not considered to please get together and meet the school authorities.We need justification.We could have also brought false transfer certificates but we did not follow any unfair means or practice and this is the result.I once again Request all the parents with 70 points and not considered to please get together and meet the school authorities for an answer.

Please go the DOE link and file online complaint against any school. I have done it already and request you to forward this to as many parents as possible

This is absolutely pathetic..shame on our system....I applied for my son but I'm not at all hopeful after the DPS Mathura Road eyewash. I feel so helpless in my own country, my own city....freaking point system absolutely good for nothing.

absolutely correct, Ruchika!!! .. 70 means we are just eligible to apply, waste money and time on 15-20 school forms.. and not for admission anywhere.. it seems guidelines were made just like that... i don't see any logic behind giving transfer points at the start of the session..

Transfer points should be replaced with first born.
Instead of points, transfer cases should have a min. Fixed quota like 4 to 5%.
