Nursery admissions: Delhi high court declines to stay new guidelines

NEW DELHI: In a relief to the government, the Delhi high court on Friday declined to stay the nursery admission process and quash the point system for alumni and siblings.

HC was hearing a fresh petition filed by a section of parents challenging the points allotted for alumni and siblings.

Justice Manmohan however, issued notice to the government on the plea and sought a response by July 25. As per the guidelines issued by the LG on Dec 18, 2013, five points are allotted to a child whose parents were alumni of the school where she is applying and 20 points allotted if she has a sibling studying in the same school.
