Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools

We have started admission process for our daughter for Nursery session 2104-15. One thing we are confused about is whether complete AC school like Lotus Valley is better or schools like DPS Sec-132 which offer AC classrooms till Nursery/Prep but are non AC after that. In our time, we have studied in non AC schools but now kids are used to AC playschool, AC car, AC in home etc. (even we are :-)) so will she very uncomfortable is she is in non-AC classroom?

Looking forward to views from you all.

Regards,

Jaskiran

Dear All,

i am a new user for AN. My personal opinion for my child education pertaining to study in AC environment are as follows-

1- We understand that a child needs a balance education system to nurture equally in his  academic front, creativity in thought along with sporting activity and thus for the same he needs a welcoming surrounding environment to concentrate more on this activity.

2- We need to understand that why countries like whole of Europe, US, Japan, china even Singapore are well developed and why like our and neighbouring countries, africa and others are still developing in nature. we need to understand that are weather really played a great role in development of this countries. answer to the extent is yes.

3- why a child from any sainik school or schools in Ooty, dehradun etc always excel in their academics along with sporting activity, do weather of this region are perfectly favourable for them for their develoment. probably my answer is yes.

4- How is delhi, NCR weather is throught year and how often our kids fall sick while facing this tremendous weather.

if we give thourghly study of this thought - we feel that a comfortable working environment is definately needed by a child for his deep concentration on his building activity. this good working environment may be created by greening his schools, or by fans, or by early morning travelling or by regularly visiting to nearby good environmentally friendly places or by AC, is what needed by every child. further we cannot compare ourself with our child as we lived in quite a goodweather as compared to what our child are living in NCR.

AC schools & classrooms effects the natural resistance of the child. The child  gets use to it & in the long run cannot adjust himself to the natural surroundings.

In my views, if you have already provided an AC environment to the child ie at home, cars, restaurants, malls, etc , then I think it would wrong to deprive the child of the same comfort in school. Yes, I know, we all studied in non -ac schools/colleges but that was ages ago..Another factor i would think is that, most good teachers would not like to teach in a non-ac environment..the teachers also need comfort and I am sure they would seek schools with ac...hence by this logic good teachers would flock to good ac schools ..hence the child should go to a good ac school !!!

I vote for Non AC. Point is adequate ventilation and airy rooms. I have seen DPS Mathura Road, Vasant Valley, DPS Faridabad, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, St. Thomas Mandir Marg, DPS Rohini, Vasant Kunj, Birla Vidya Niketan, Blue bells and many others. To name ...there will be no end.

Why do we prefer AC over Non AC. Circumstances may not remain alike all the time. These days I found parents sending their wards to boarding schools. This may be due to gurukul system here every student is exposed to hardships.

To my fellow discussions in favour of AC, I would ask them why most of us avoid giving junk foods to our kids, although it is a gift of modernity same that of AC.

School life is the stage where you should support all round development. Will AC environment sufficient for sports activities? Will it be good for disaster managements?

Points are much more and will be discussed pros and cons step by step as time permits.

Thanks.

Some points are very valid Maharamji

in my view, this is growing age and development of resistance power,if we give all the facilities to the children they can not  adjust with odd situation.
