Address proof documents

Hi, I would like to know which documents are accepted as residential proof other than passport & adhar card. Will the rent contract also work as a residence proof?

v. Schools not accepting some valid documents as proof of address.
Some of indicative documents which can be considered as proof of residence
of parents / child. (The list is not exhaustive & other documents can also be
added by school)
i) Ration card Issued in the name of parents (Mother/Father having
name of child).
ii) Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
iii) Voter I-Card (EPIC)of any of the parents.
iv) Electricity bill/MTNl telephone bill{Water bill/Passport in the name
of any of the parents or child.
v) Aadhaar card/UID card issued in the name of any of the parent.

HI!

I WANT TO KNOW, I HAVE JUST (DECEMBER 2013) SHIFTED AT MY NEW ADDRESS AND I HAVE REGISTERED MY LEASE DEED I ALSO HAVE GOT MTNL LANDLINE INSTALLED. SO WILL I NOT BE ABLE TO GET MY KID ADMITTED TO THESE SCHOOLS. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW... PLEASE HELP

Dear Ramneek, your case may not be considered because it appears from your statement that you have shifted your residence temporarily arbitrarily for want of distance points. However, the new residence proof should be atleast 6 months old from the date registration starts. Please mention your previous address and what made you to shift to the new locality, so that I can try for legal solution.

Thanks for your reply I earlier used to stay in lajpat nagar but frankly I have shifted to vasant kunj only because there are so many schools in the vicinity. So please help. Thanks

Can u guide m wat shd do in dat case if sum1 is hvng der permanent add is differ & their son's stayin wid his nani means d guardianship of der son is wid Nani & dey want d admission of d child whr der Nani is residing as child father is out of country 4 five yrs dat is why her son n d lady is residing wid her mother so as per d guidline wat all docs dey hv 2 provide of guardianship 2 gt d admission in 8 km area?????

@ Sangeeta Sethi, plz apply fundamental approach. To what extent it is true that a 3 yrs kid will stay with grandparents inspite of the fact parents are alive. How many parents will leave tiny tots with their grandparents for a year or more stay.

Does it not reflecting fakeness? You know this session school lobby is expected to test many things before granting admission. Why should we go for illegal things when an expected good governance like AAP is functioning in our City.

Dats another thing dat few can find it's fake? :(

N moreover i explained above dat child father reside out of country dat is why my frnd & her son reside wid her mother so obviously jst bcz of d same she require d admission near by her mother place.

What to do if schools not listing AADHAAR card as valid address proof on forms? I have encountered this issue with three minority school forms. My problem is that my voter id card represents old address (same locality few blocks apart). Election roll is not accepting correction till 31st jan and it will take at least 2 week to get new cards at fastest. What are the options for me? Can i submit Aadhaar as well as my voter id copies as proof of residence?

Also can minority schools ignore every rule set by DOE !!! That cannot be justified, they can have some different point system but should not be free to ignore every guideline.
