sorry if there is an existing discusison on the topic already. the electricity and water bills are in the name of our landlord. can we produce them along with a copy of our rent agreement as address proof? do they accept private phone bills like airtel or vodafone?

No electricity bill should be in your name. Only MTNL accepted.
