Having gone through the experience midway of seeing my first child not making it through every short list each passing day, there is a strong change required or should I say revolution no. 2 is required. I strongly affirm that alumni and other criteria shouldn't be considered for admissions where as sibling completely make sense.
All schools should follow strictly 3 categories for nursery admissions
1. Distance 50 points max up to 4km
2. Special needs 10 points
3. Equal 40 points for sibling/first child
Last 3rd point should be divide in equal % for General category
eg for a total of 100 seats 50 should be reserved for sibling and rest 50 for first child. This can further be further divided into 25 each for boys and girls
That should provide justice to parents seeking fair admissions. Mr Vohra I would appreciate if you could consider these.
