School Admissions for Delhi 2014-2015

Hi All,

I am a new member and very impressed with the entire concept.

Its that anxiety time(sleepless nights) of the year for parents. Like any other parent, its going to be a litmus test for me and trust me I have no idea how to go about it.

How does this process get kick-started....pls help..

Hi Sakshi,

I too have a similar query with regards to good schools in West Delhi.

I belong to old school of thought with regards to schools and hence, I prefer good old schools. Moreover, am not too sure about education quality of the recent schools that have cropped up in Dwarka or outskirts.

Ruchi, Which are your desired schools with 3-5 km of your house as top 5 schools might be far off.

Thanks for the prompt response.

I stay at Krishna Puri, which is in between Tilak nagar and Vikas Puri.

I have this school St. Francis(Janak Puri) in my mind but heard its quite tough to get into that school for the reasons am sure you are aware of.

1 Springdales

2 Balbharti Ptam Pura / Pusa Road

3 St Francis

4 Mount Carmel/ Vis sec 10 /Dps Dwarka

5 Salwan Montessori

6 Montfort (ashok vihar)

Many more please check west delhi and north delhi/dwarka groups

Now it will depend (school specific) how many schools gives you points on distance.

Thanks for your response.

I am only aware and sure of 2 kinds/types of points that we can get.

Distance and First child or First girl child.

Siblings and alumni's are out of question since I was in Cambridge, Sriniwaspuri.

The only ray of hope is Bal Bharti, pusa Road since my wife is an alumni from the same school. Is it a descent school.

Also, can we get any other points besides the points mentioned by me.

Sunny,This year rules might change so cannot comment as last year system has been scrapped by Hon High Court.

Deepti,Some school insist for Original B.C and you must have 5 original with name of child printed handy. These days very easy to get as many copies fro authorities at very nominal price you want.
