Admissions nightmare

Hi Sakshi & Others responsible for this forum,

Really appreciate your efforts! You guys are doing an awesome job.

With all this hassle process this is what comes to my mind:

Don't know which direction so called intellectual people comprising of honorable courts, Education Ministry and others who claim to have entered to remove corruption, wants to take our society to. Applied in 32 schools all round Delhi. Didn't secure admission in any of them... Forget about the schools where didn't get maximum points on distance, even the ones where secured maximum points for distance got beaten by Alumni and sibling quota. Does that mean people who are just the parent of a single/first child or else didn't study themselves in so called reputed schools cannot even dream of admitting the kids in these schools. We want to make India a shining India.. Not sure what kind of India, authorities want to make. Even after 70 years of independence we are creating gaps in society. People whose generation study in good schools can only be part of those... Rest go to hell :-( All ironical.

Thanks Sakshi for sharing the link. Gone through it and feel there are lot many parents sailing in the same boat just like me, which in fact I was sure of.

I stay in North West Delhi and applied for about 20 schools in and around Rohini, Pitampura, Ashok Vihar, Shalimar Bagh, Model Town. Apart from applying for about 10 schools in other areas of Delhi.

My ward couldn't get through in any of them, not even in waiting list.

A mix of Alumni, management, and Sibling quota is killing general category parents.

Already had sleepless nights for about 2 months and now have nightmare even in the day.

Can you please suggest some good schools in Dwarka? Sorry I am not that familiar with that area.. What are the possibilities when admissions are closed?

I agree wid Nimmi totally . I stay in North Delhi and had applied in almost all the schools in North , North - west and Central Delhi . No luck any where .Got defeated mainly by sibling n alumni criterias even after getting full scores in distance . Another critetia where we were overtaken by many is girls point . Most of d schools have deleted points for 1st child but points for girl child remained in force . Now let us take example of my case - 1st boy child ! . I won't get any score except distance . Inspite of getting full scores in distace my total score will not qualify for draw even. Is it not ambiguity in the admission criteria ? Who will take care of our torture ?

Your suggetion is well taken but it must b 20 kms one way , moreover which school will entertain you now dat too without any registration .
