Could you give me the rankings for summer fields, kr mangalam gk2, bluebells, modern school vasant vihar

By ranking, I not only mean the branding, but focus on overall grooming of the child(extra curricular, sports etc.)

no sms or mail to attend in draw. but when i send  email them they have replied that you not selected.

 although my friend has told me you are selected. in reply of school has following line 

 

 

"your friend mistaken"

draw on 27.1.2011 around 415pm . i failed to attend . but after 5 pm of draw date to yesterday might i constantly trying to confirm but yesterday they sent email with negative reply

Can anyone compare and share thoughts on DPS rohini and Montfort School Ashok Vihar....since they both stand at first position according to HT survey this year....if possible please highlight the things based on academics and extra curricular activities..

actually its my Brother-in law son who has got thru the lucky draw....the irony is that my son and his cousin both had the same score...but no luck in the lucky draw for my son...so i was still curious to know...which school is better in all respects

It is like asking someone whether he likes Nagpur oranges more or Himachal apples. You are bound to get different responses from everyone! They are both excellent schools and compete with each other in all aspects be it sports, extra curricular activities or any other Olympiad.

Montfort is a Christian Missionary and hence is supposed to have some puritan semblance (Father at the helm, no donations and 51% quota for "minority" Christians). Their teachers are quite contended and consistent with low teacher turnovers. But some subjects (like Physics in higher classes) seem to be an Achiles heel for them (last I heard)

DPS - has known to evoke a lot of mixed reactions from disgruntled parents (like me) who could not make it into their elite list. They are known to have a methodology of their own for teaching and has been producing consistently excellent results from their onset in Rohini. They have specialist subjects like German and French as third language and have coaches for all major sports like cricket and basketball. The RK Puram ex-head Chona pulls a lot of weight among Private schools. However, the Rohini branch is one of the smallest branches of the DPS core schools

Thanks Anand ji for sharing your thoughts here...nehow v could not make it to DPS rohini...coz of the lucky draw ...however still keeping my fingers crossed for other good schools in town...we all hope and wish that all of us get the best of all for our child...but i feel one major difference between them is the extra curricular activities...like swimming pool, gym, skating etc...these kind of activities r not available in DPS...but one thing more i wud like to know everyone's thought on...whether we shud let r child travel for 12kms just to obtain school brands....or we shud prefer to luk out for equivalent alternatives....near to residence...is it fair to make ur child travel for 1-2 hrs one side on daily basis...a 3 yr old child is too small
