Hi Sumit sir,

Thanks a ton to your stiff protest for parents against Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Lodhi Estate.....

Dear All....

As per school they will put the 1st list on their notice board by 4 pm on 5th Feb2011...the parents will then be called for induction/documents verifications...

(pls confirm at 011-24627344..however no change in info yet on website http://spvdelhi.org/UserFiles/admission.pdf)

My son name could not come in both BBPS Dwarka and BBPS Pusa Road , i come in No Sibling , No Alumini , No Neighbourhood , no Girl child ( i have son ) , no Transfer case , no Staff quota , no management quota category

Viewing the Point System that Ganguly had proposed and currently followed by schools now

Parents , what is your opinion , do the children in above categoty don't have any right to get admission in good schools . we are very demoralised with this current point system . what is alternate to get rid of this current point system so that every child has equal opportunity for admission . We know , this Govt is useless as it knows all hue and cry will settle down automatically after next 10 days . Parents are helpless

can you pls raise this point in media what is future for children who are

No Sibling , No Alumini , No Neighbourhood , no Girl child ( i have son ) , no Transfer case , no Staff quota , no management quota category

@ashish: I have neighbourhood with 3 schools within stone's throw and 1 within walking distance. I haven't got through in any of them. I'm also NANSP, no girl, no transfer, no staff .. basically no quota! So even with neighbourhood  this system does not work for a normal first child boy. There's nothing we can do about it .. except try out in other schools that are not considered top of line.
Whats the use Ashish. The case is same with me as well. No alumni, no sibling, no girl child,No neighbourhood, no transfer, no staff, no management. I manage to get 28 points. Even if a voice is raised, the schools are not going to take our kids, and the kids cannot afford to loose an year. Damn Govt.....I have not been able to make it to any of the schools till now.

thanks Rakesh ji...

is any parent from this forum successful in DPS Rohini?pls let us know.

ya...my brotherin law son got through the lucky draw in DPS rohini...but i got unlucky...:(
same here:(

does anyone know the Break-up of fees for BalBharati Rohini. On school notice board u have to submit 49,500 DD in favour of Bal Bharati public school, rohini.  7700 fortransport charges .

Anyone with any info would be a great help

i agree we can not do this year now . But at some point , we as Parents have to raise the irregularities going on this current system . If Mr. Ganguly 3 - 4 years back drafted the Point System that is currently used , it is not helping the cause in totality , it is only helping to small sectiion . The ideal system should be ,that is transparent and provides equal opprtunities for all

Parents who do not have any form of quota , big question is where his child go ? because Sibling and Alumini points will definitely go to thise who have been staying in Delhi quite a long time , what about parents who moved to Delhi say just couple of years back ?

It is required to change the current point system that gives equal opportunities to all , not handful people

@ashish: When the system was implemented by this  Ganguly chap (hopefully after thorough study and not what met his whims and fancies), how come no one stood up and questioned his criteria? How come parents just allowed it to happen when it is so apparent that it is against interests of common parents? Or is it that his initial report has been twisted to meet the needs of schools and this mess is not intended in the first place? I only know he recommended the concept of neighbourhood. I think all this other quota is just making of the schools with full support from the spineless Govt and its education ministry. How come only Delhi is affected - or are we fools to be taken for a joy ride??
