@Shweta: Valid point! Except maybe the school would not give out more than one form in one go - we would've to ask an EWS parent to confirm this

Or possibly, the parent did not know he had to take separate forms in the first place?? Just thinking aloud!

It doesn't look like a fraud to me, considering the fact that except for the first two none of the other twins/triplet brother/sister combination are within the top 35! However, picking twins (within top 100) from a possible 530 has a probability of 0.04 .. not very good odds :)). I think the name chits were all put into the bowl/jar in serial order and could not get mixed too well. We would have to ask an EWS parent on how the draw went - and whether or not they are satisfied. Any "affected" parent out there who can comment?

As in the parent's have forged documents?? This is common knowledge by now - but can such a prestigious school afford to "collude" with such shameless parents .. and to what ends? Why would a school where parents are knocking down their doors to get in want to get into such mischief? Any role of the school seems to be a little hard for me to digest .. but if there is something there, it needs to come out for sure!

I fail to understand that why DPS rohini has chosen 100 people for 35 seats. That means people after say 45 or so hold no chance. Is it an eyewash?

Similar to why the Indian Railways produce a W/L of 550 and an RAC of upto 100 before saying "Regretted"? Two reasons, Demand/Supply and they can get away with it. Its their way of saying you could get in provided the others before you vacate their seats for whatever reasons!
But yes, 100 is a bit of a stretch .. 50 should have done the trick. Then again, parents have been known to falsify everything from their address (to own neighborhood points) to marital status to anything that comes under "criteria"! I suppose those in the first list now need to stand close scrutiny to ensure nothing is amiss.
I've heard that the DPS teachers actually visit homes to make sure everything is as should be. They're also known to make surprise calls to catch "single child" and "single parents". Of course, these could be people's imagination - but there just might be some grain of truth to the extensive scrutiny

DPS Rohini should have verified the documents first and then called for a draw. Tomorrow DPS Dwarka has called around 160 candidates for 46 seats after verification of documents.
