WELCOME TO THE ADMISSIONS PAGE

Thank you for your interest in The British School, New Delhi.

The school will be closed for its Christmas break from 24th December 2010 to 9th January 2011 and the admissions and administrative staff will be back in school from 3rd January 2011.

We will start taking new registrations for 2011-2012 from 6th January 2011 till the end of March from 8 AM to 1 PM.

In case you wish to register for a place for next year (2011-12) please download the Registration form from the Downloads section of our website and send it in by e-mail or deliver it in person (by prior appointment) from 6th January'11 onwards.

The other documents which are required are: previous school reports (last 2 years), a photocopy of the child's passport as well as the parents' passport, a small passport sized photograph of the child, and Rs.6,000/ in cash or a cheque or a bank draft (favouring "The British School Society").

All other classes are full with a waiting list for the academic year 2010-2011.

When you get in touch, make sure you let us know your child's date of birth so we can accurately advise you of our admissions procedures for the various classes. School tours are organised with prior appointment only and will commence from 25th January 2011. Please check our tour schedule below. These tours will be group tours and on a first come first serve basis. Please write in if you are interested to admissions@british-school.org for your preference of tour so we may register your name. We look forward to showing you around the school!

Tour l -       Every Tuesday -Secondary School tour from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Tour II -     Every Tuesday - Primary School tour from 10:30 a.m.to 11:45 a.m.
Tour III -    Every Thursday- Secondary School tour from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Tour IV -     Every Thursday –Primary School tour from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

As you may have read elsewhere on our website, we are an International school with approximately 690 students on our rolls and we currently have 50 nationalities, 40 of which alone are in our Primary School.

We are proud of our diverse cultural mix and the truly international flavour this brings to our school.

ADMISSION SCHEDULE FOR PRE- SCHOOL (NURSERY) SESSION 2011-2012

· Registration opens from 01.01.2011 to 11.01.2011 on all working days for General from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and EWS categories from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
·Submission of duly filled forms along with supporting documents on all working days till 15.01.11by 12:00 noon for General and for EWS 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
· Display of First List of the selected candidates along with First Wait List under General Category on 01.02.11 at 9:00 a.m.
· Payment of fee for the candidates in the First List from 01.02.20111 to 05.02.2011 by 12:00 noon.
· Confirmation of First Wait List (subject to availability of the seats) along with display of Second Wait List under General Category on 07.02.2011 at 9:00 a.m.
· Payment of fee for the First Wait Listed candidates from 07.02.2011 to 12.02.2011 by 12:00 noon.
·Confirmation of Second Wait List along with display of Third Wait List (subject to availability of the seats) under General Category on 14.02.11 at 9:00 a.m.
·Payment of fee for the Second Wait Listed Candidates under General Category from 14.02.11 to 19.02.11.
·Confirmation of Third Wait List (subject to availability of the seats) on 21.02.2011 at 9:00 a.m.
· For admission under Economically Weaker Section, draw of lots will be held on 26.03.11 at 11:00 a.m. and list will be displayed on the same day i.e. 26.03.11.
·Confirmation and submission of documents by parents of EWS Category by 29.03.11 by 12:00 non.
