We got the Admission forms for KR Mangalam world school - GK2.

The school besides other documents has asked for the below:

 

1. Notary attested affidavit incase of first born of parents.

 

We are not aware of this requirement and Arjun is our one and only child. Request any oneto share a format for the same and tell us how to go about getting this affidavit.

 

2. Further, they require all "attested" certificates - is it self attested or attesed from a gazetted officer.

Gyan Bharati School, Saket has posted the following guidelines for filling the forms on their school's website .

 

2. Guidelines for filling in the Forms

  • Please read the instructions carefully before filling in the form to avoid the rejection of your form.
  • The fact book / prospectus is available separately at the school counter.
  • Please attach attested photocopies of the following documents along with the form.
  •  
    • Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation.
    • Proof of residential address [Passport/Lease Deed/Electricity Bill/MTNL Telephone Bill/Electoral Card].  Note: School will also verify the residential address through home visits
    • Medical fitness certificate of the child from a registered medical practitioner.
    • In case of sibling applicants: Admission No. and fee bill issued by the school.
    • In case of Alumni (father/mother/both): Admission No., Year of Admission/Passing, Roll No. of CBSE Class XII Board Exams.
    • In case of applicants with special needs: Certificate of disability.
    • In case of single parent: Proof of marital status.
    • In case of single child: Self attested Affidavit.
    • For proof of Parents Qualification: Highest Educational Degrees.
    • For proof of Service/ Transfer case : Identity Card / certificate issued from the concerned Departmental Head.(It should be on the company's letter head)
    • For Economically Weaker Section:
  • Certificate of income of both the parents (in original) duly certified by a magistrate
  • Certificate of 5 years domicile of Delhi
  • Proof of residing within a distance of 5 kms from the school.

Final Admission is subject to the verification of all the documents in original.

 

They are asking for the proof of parents qualification (attested) and certificate of income of both parents (certified by magistrate). I think they are violating the rules issued by DoE.

Please do us all a favor. What is the website and phone numbers of the concerned departments of DOE where all gross violations of the RTE act can be reported??? We parents must put an end to this rubbish once and for all.

They are asking for the proof of parents qualification (attested) and certificate of income of both parents (certified by magistrate). This is indeed pathetic. Mr Lovely, you are the one who wanted schools in Delhi to have all the freedom in the world.

I believe this point is only valid if you are applying under the EWS category. Not for general.
Its listed under EWS is you see carefully.

Mr. Amit - Please read carefully. Proof of parents qualification and certificate of income of both parents are not meant for EWS Category. They mentioned about these 2 documents under 2. Guidelines for filling in the Forms. Moreover, they have provided fields for Parents' qualification and designation in their online form.

 

The Prospectus will be available at school reception from 1st January 2011 to 15th January 2011 between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. on all school working days. The forms for the General candidates will have to be filled only on the school website: www.gyanbharatischool.net

Minimum age as on 31.03.2011 - 3 years for Pre-School (Nursery)

However, Candidates under E.W.S. (Economically Weaker Section) should not apply online and can collect the form from the school reception from 1st January 2011 to 15th January 2011 between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.

In case of incomplete form, incorrect/false information/ document, the form is liable to be rejected.

Last date for submission of a copy of online submitted form/ completed application form of EWS, along with the required documents at the school Reception is 15th January 2011 by 1.00 p.m. The form should be submitted by either of the parents only.

Economically Weaker section (EWS)

Criteria for Eligibility

  1. The parents should belong to economically weaker  category as defined by the directorate of education
  2. The parents should be residing within a distance of 5 kms. from the school.
  3. The parents should be residing in Delhi for at least 5 years i.e. they should have domicile of 5 years in Delhi

The admission will be done on the basis of draw of lots of all the eligible candidates.

Pl. look again at the format of the form :

For Economically Weaker Section:
Certificate of income of both the parents (in original) duly certified by a magistrate
Certificate of 5 years domicile of Delhi
Proof of residing within a distance of 5 kms from the school.

There is a ":" after EWS and then the points are listed. I would say that the instructions have not been formatted properly. Request you to check with the school. I am sure you will find that its not required if u r applying under general category.
also, how do u affix photos in online forms?

if photos has to be uploaded online..then just have a soft copy of all required passport photos on your computer in any folder and upload the same from there...(the form will surelu have a tab for browsing/upload photo to do so)...

in other cases where just one has to fill the forms online and then take printout of filled form (registration no. automatically generates in such cases)..one can paste the photos on the hardcopy of the forms..before submitting them to the school concerned..

II. Proof of residence : Ration Card / Passport / Election Card / Driving Licens

 

 

We have MTNL Bill for the same.Can we apply with the same as we r not having above mentioned any document for residence.

 

If not then can you please guide which is the fastest document to get now.

however the school have mentioned required documents very clearly, but you can call school authorities/meet them if MTNL bill/Electricity bill (which is a very valid doc) can work here...to get any of such mentioned document in faster way can take much time even passport through tatkal route can take 5-7 days..so pls check..
